This is my first visit to a nudist campsite. I have been to a nude beach before so I knew I'd be able to get comfortable after some initial nervousness. I arrived on a Sunday at the end of July and am leaving on a Tuesday. Not exactly an ideal time to come if you want to meet like minded people who understand the great values Naturists have with regards to the human body and, well, being naked. The end of the week and weekends get considerably higher amounts of traffic here. This was the only time that worked in my schedule so what was I going to do... The grounds and layout are meticulously taken care of. The owners love this land and it shows. I got to talk to Pat, the owner, for a couple hours. I really enjoyed the story and vision he and his wife had for this place. I admired how they were able to follow through on creating this oasis. They designed this place and it shows. The campsites are well shaded, nicely kept and cozy. They are nestled in the woods along a windy path. Once you set up your tent (in the nude...so awesome), you put your pants back on for a minute and drop your vehicle back into the lot. I like that because it gives a different feel to the sites. The downside for me was not having my phone close by at night charging...which is also a great thing. The campsites don't have fire pits. At first I was not a fan of this situation. After talking to the owner though it makes sense for this property. I camp all over by myself at traditional campsites and enjoy my privacy. I enjoy cooking my food over the fire I built in my iron skillet. After a number of years I have yet to wash it... You can still cook your own food at your campsite you'll just have to bring a small gas grill (which is actually a huge time saver :)) This is place is a community. They have a large gas grill and a beautiful community fire pit with a drop down movie screen. The point of this is to be nude, social and comfortable in a safe environment. The pool and pool area is ridiculously serene. Well maintained. Clean water. Clean lounge chairs and tables. Surrounded by Mother Nature and her tall trees. It. Is. Beautiful. Taking an outdoor shower... amazing. I'm putting one at my house as soon as I get home. I apologize to my neighbors in advance. Jk... I won't apologize. What is more natural than bathing outside??? Total game changer. The details... too many to name but I'll try: wood carvings, cedar buildings, DJ booth, the office with a river through it, the thousands of stones thoughtfully placed around the property, the lighted paths, the raspberries all over the place, the clean facilities, the owners and how great they are, the jagermister bottle trees, the (well kept and clean) American flags everywhere, the flower pots with flowers that are actually living, the mulched trails, the game yards, etc etc - so nice. Perfect. The grocery store a few miles away is subpar. That's my only complaint really... I like good organic produce and meats. You can get the necessities but if you can - Plan accordingly. Here's my only other thing about this place... I've been here essentially by myself for the last two days... 1. I should have brought someone... I get it. The nudist life is best shared with friends. This was an impromptu trip and I'm really not looking forward to having "the conversation" with anyone yet about this... except with you of course. 2. For a fraction of the total summer campers it's hard to fill these places up during the work week I imagine. 3. This place is visited by hundreds of people each summer. However, no one wants to review places like this because who wants their coworkers and/or grandma to know they like to walk around with their Willy or lady bits out for all to see. Honestly, I'm in that group... for now. 4. Try it out... when you are comfortable. I'm almost 38, male and straight. It's tough to make that initial mental investment and commit to going. The owners have a clear goal to make this place safe and welcoming. Hope to meet you next time I visit!
