Sport Chek Hillside Mall

While the store has a decent selection and decent prices I would only use it from now on as a last resort. Woefully understaffed. 10-15 minute waits at the checkout. Sales staff must be commissioned as they are unhelpful unless they KNOW you're going to make a purchase. Would not spend the time to help size a ski boot. Had to escalate to a manager to have a brand new ski binding repaired (sold to us by SportChek) - resulted in 4 return trips to have sizing and improperly installed hardware corrected. The staff are nice kids, but are not trained professionals and only have a basic understanding of the items they sell. I get the feeling they are paid to sell only some high ticket items. For technical items like shoes, skis or bikes you're much better off dealing with a specialty shop who have a better knowledge of their products and services.

Pretty standard Sport Chek. Clean and bright with a ton of selection. It's in the mall so there's free parking and you can do other shopping or get lunch at the food court as well. One downside of this location was I found it hard to find someone to help me.

Occasionally I have found a pair of shoes here, but generally I leave empty-handed. Staff are hit-and-miss here. The store is poorly laid out and confusing to navigate. If you have a baby stroller with you there is an elevator but it can be difficult to find and difficult to navigate to there.

Typical sport chek. Good selection of many items. Large selection of shoes and apparel which is nice. Only downside is uninvolved staff who don't engage in customer interaction. Perhaps they were new and learning. Oh well overall a good store.
