Sobeys Urban Fresh St. Clair

I often grab small latte here, it's quick and only $2. Coffee is only $1. The store is very clean and veggie and fruits are fresh.

I really like how friendly the staff are here and the decision to move away from plastic shopping bags. I can also tell that much care has gone into protecting the health and safety of employees and shoppers during the pandemic. I like that the store sells Freshpet dog food and is part of the air miles program. The Sensation brand products are great too. Can be expensive and is a small grocery store, but I go there because it's close to home and I prefer to shop local. I can usually find all that I need here and the hours are convenient.

I got to checkout with all my groceries that I had shopped for based on the Sobeys flyer, only to learn they do not honour Sobeys flyer prices. The prices rang up to double the advertised prices. I wish there was a big bold sign saying this somewhere before I had wasted my time. The store itself and its staff were fine, but customers need to be made aware of this distinction between Sobeys and Sobeys Urban Fresh.

Definitely a nicer Sobeys Urban Fresh Location. Good beer selection with a Wine Rack in store. Well laid out and clean. Staff don't seem super happy for some reason...

Very nice store, pretty good size. I especially like the fact that Jaz a cashier always packs my groceries in such a nice manner. Most stores the cashiers just throw everything in the bag, so this is very much appreciated. There’s also a pretty good produce section, and the almond milk is usually on sale for a good price.

Update: I have replaced my old review - Management has changed, and this location is much better now - the new Manager, Dean, is very receptive to feedback, and is making a lot of noticable positive changes to the store, and culture amongst staff. Kristen and Holly, the twin sisters, are an awesome duo at the front-end cash, and really are a great part of this store. All of the deli staff help me every day, and are very kind and always helpful. The store is much cleaner now, and starting to really improve.

Only some of the staff is nice. Most of the customers don’t even wear masks and they do nothing about it. The food selection is not the greatest. The staff that is nice do make up for it though. I have also heard some of the staff talking about drug use. Highly inappropriate.

Rumor has it this location will be closing at the end of October. Quick and convenient. Great staff. More friendly than most groceries. It will be missed by the neighborhood for sure.

I have been shopping at this Sobey's location for many years. I enjoy shopping here because it is never too busy and the workers are so polite and very helpful. The level of service here blows away the competition. The prices are reasonable and I find the items I am looking for, with ease. The covid-19 safety protocols are well established and well indicated. The selection of products are good but I come here because I can always rely on the friendly, fast and knowledgeable customer service. Thank you to all the employees for being really good at what you do!

The staff are nice but the store is constantly out of things that are clearly in demand: bags of avocados, peanut butter, limes, frozen fruit, almond milk, hummus, fish, organic produce which is very over- priced here, etc. The drink section near the cash is always empty. Their beer selection could be good but again, they're always running out of things. Whoever does the inventory and ordering should reconsider their numbers. If you're going to charge more for the same items people can get elsewhere, at least have the items in stock.
