Metro

Small metro but not overly cramped if you go during off-peak hours. Selection is fine and it’s in a good location if you live nearby since it’s right by the subway station. They can sometimes be out of specific produce or products due to its popularity among commuters.

Three and a half stars. Sometimes there is no staff at the "customer service" desk, so expect to wait forever...and bring your portable sleeping bag. Employees pass by and may not offer help. If you hail someone down, some may help you partially or may say "it is not (their) job". I can understand they're being busy, but if they're not with a customer and will not do something that takes only a minute to do for a customer, that is a problem. It is NOT the customer's job to chase down an employee. I suggest this store install a button at customer service that customers can press to page an employee to that desk. At the Loblaws I go to, if a customer is waiting at Customer Service, a cashier will page an employee to that counter. There is an older heavy woman who floats around organizing objects here and there, trying to look busy...but if you approach her for service, she will make you wait, or ignore you, while she finishes her non-customer task which can be awhile...as if her time is more important but she is slooowww as a toad. How would she feel if she were waiting for me to pay, but instead I chose to make her wait while I reorganize and clean my bag and chat on my smartphone, etc. She acts like she's the customer, not to be inconvenienced by us, and treats some people poorly. Customers have places to get to but she's already at her job. When you are in the service industry...the customer comes first. I do not buy their deli meats anymore because I cannot seem to get service there. When there's one customer at the counter, they will keep that customer waiting...but when a group of customers arrive, they will immediately serve the group. Strange how they think it's acceptable to not serve a single customer. To get served, you will need to do somersaults, flips, and bellow to grab their attention. Frankly, I do not feel like a valued customer. What I do like is this store's location and the impressive selfcheckout service with their speedy attendants. Most workers are nice except for the occasional one. I definitely need a break from this store.

Always bustling. Nice fresh food at the deli counter. Check out cashiers are nice enough. Manager seems harried.

Can't complain. This is the closest location to my work. Go here often. Have had some misunderings in the past. I find the variety is good. The prices are not too bad. I like the deli counter especially. The cheese and hams are always fresh. Overall, don't have any complains. My problem with this store is theu have alot of new employees. And they on the most part are quite rude. The lady in the deli in the morning shouted at us just because we tried to show her on the sign what we asked for and obviously if you don't understand what other way do explain. The girl in the bakery looked angry, had a bad attitude to the other baker and started hitting the register because it wasn't working properly. And if you order a custom cake here, make sure you get the right answers to your questions. The last time, they told me I could get what I asked for, and when I went to pick up, it was a completely different cake. They said it wasn't possible so they did what they wanted. Meanwhile they asked for my number on the sheet I filled out. Totally unprofessional!

I live in the building above the mall where this Metro is located. I used to go here often but after a few bad experiences, I stopped. For the prices they charge and the mediocre quality of the stuff they sell along with poor attitude from customer service, it's not worth shopping here. I go out of my way to go to Costco and Superstore because I dislike it so much.
