Went to the tower as a surprise for my birthday. Was sat at our table and noticed the decor is worn, the chairs are cracked and torn something you expect at a Swiss Chalet. For a $54 strip loin I expect the dinner to be better presented, the flavour was just ok. The garlic mashed potatoes were very dry. We had the cheese tray and it had a sliver of a few cheeses on it. My suggestion of you want the view and a proper high end meal, take a few steps to a closer restaurant, even the one at the base and then pay to go up. Sky 360 is an over priced diner. If you want an excellent steak at the towers prices I would recommend Vintage Chop house just a few min away.

I think the restaurant is resting on its superb venue and not pushing for culinary excellence. The food was mediocre at best, and certainly not worth the prices. The beef was a little too much gristle; certainly not a prime cut. Our set menu had two deserts and neither was able to save the meal - an all too dry carrot cake, or a prefab chilled desert served in a too deep mug. Servers were surly and only to the point. For your money - best to pass this one by.

The service was great and the experience was amazing but for the price point of the menu, the quality of food didn’t match up. I order the tenderloin which was around $56. It came with prawns which one was undercooked, vegetables that were only season with oil and pepper, and mashed potatoes which was delicious compared to the other things on the plate. I don’t know if the other items are worth the price but in my case I wasn’t expecting a steak the size of a puck to be served to me... also for the appetizer I ordered an 11$ soup which tasted like any canned vegetable soup would taste like but the amount of soup given was less then what you would receive in a can of soup. However, the dessert I order (lavender creme brûlée was exquisite! Would recommend if you like new experiences but would not recommend if you’re looking for high end cuisine.

The restaurant setting is certainty unique, offering you full 360 degree views of Calgary downtown and surrounding area as far as the edge of the Rockies on a clear day. However, I felt that the food on the other hand was not on an equivalent level. The grilled chicken breast was overcooked, fairly bland, and very dry. The rotini was also slightly overcooked and reasonably soggy. The rose sauce was actually quite flavorful and smooth, but it just felt like it wasn't enough to save the dish. For such an amazing venue in an iconic Calgary location, the food just didn't taste up to par. Taste: 3/5 Portion Size: 4/5 Price: $$ Overall: 3/5

You come here, you should expect to not get the quality of food you're paying for. Just enjoy the beautiful view from the outside and you'll enjoy the food more. The steak was properly cooked, just really expensive.
