The James Joyce is an Irish pub but that's pretty much all it is. To be honest, I felt like I was drinking in a hotel lobby. The staff were nice, but this wasn't my ideal watering hole. It's too bright inside and I felt it was cheaply pretentious. Maybe it's what someone else is looking good for, but not me.

This place is cozy an inviting and because of the location popular with the after work crowd. Very close in comparison in food atmosphere and service that you might expect from a pub in England of Ireland.

The staff here were very nice and we had a lot of fun while we were there. I would say that they could work a little bit on the appearance in the bar itself because it was a little more like a watering hole than something I was expecting. I don't really know what I was looking for in an Irish pub, but that wasn't it. Other than that, the food and drinks were amazing and the service was friendly.

We just got back from a trip to Ireland and I wanted to have more Irish food. The James Joyce didn't measure up. Good atmosphere but not good food.
