Cactus Club Cafe Stephen Ave

The atmosphere is really good. Service is nice as well. Food is fresh but it's not that good. We ordered chicken tenders but they were bland in taste, steak was salty, tacos didn't had salt. We had a very unusual experience from a place I heard so much about.

The food here, in particular the steak is some of the best I’ve had in Canada.nThe atmosphere is ok, going for a trendy upmarket vibe I’m guessing.nThe people serving are very nice but it feels very sterile despite seeing them joking amongst themselves, that friendly and fun persona doesn’t make its way to the table. This is my third visit and the service has always been the same. I have no doubt this is how the staff have been trained to act towards the customers and in my opinion is a bad business model for the type of establishment this is. Unfortunately despite the quality of food i would rather go somewhere more friendly.

Good upscale chain restaurant with many interesting and creative choices. Great selection of craft cocktails. Centrally located downtown. I had the chicken and noodle salad with sweetnpotato fries. Dressing was tasty, fries were standard but the alioli was really good. My friend had the cervical which was done nicely and a side salad. Service was good and fast.

Despite it being a busy evening, my food arrived surprisingly quickly, and it was beautifully presented. The staff were attentive throughout my meal, ensuring I had everything I needed without being intrusive.nnHowever, I found the food to be somewhat average. While it was decently prepared and presented, it didn't quite live up to the high expectations set by the restaurant's ambiance and service.

Came here on August 16th during the happy hour time. The place was slammed and the food was good.nOur server gave us below average customer service. Never mentioned the happy hour deals, didn’t recommend anything, didn’t announce the specials, didn’t smile once. Never asked about the possible allergies. She basically said two words during the whole thing. Spent $90 on dinner for two being treated poorly and feeling unwelcome. Wouldn’t return.
