Simonholt Restaurant

Our first time to this restaurant for a special occasion; Thanksgiving with another couple. We all ordered the Thanksgivng special. When are plates arrived we all stared at them with disappointment, such small portions. One small slice of turkey, one tablespoonful of stuffing, 2 small pieces of carrots and 2 Brussels sprouts. Frankly not enough for the price. Everything was quite tasty but we left disappointed.

Always great food no matter what time of day. Today we had Sam serve us. He was friendly, very helpful with all our changes and very nice to look at. Simon Holt has great chefs.

I took a friend for a birthday/ Thanksgiving dinner. Service was excellent. The amount of turkey given was not enough even for a child's portion. Quite disappointing. When the manager was questioned his response was about how much the pie cost???

We booked a reservation for 20 days before and were told no problem. We arrived at 6:00, our order was taken at 6:15. At 7:30 we didn't have food. One of our party had to go to the bar to get many of our own drinks. Manager eventually came and told us two things. One, they got slammed. There were about four or five other tables and an empty restaurant. We watched a family of 6 walk in after us, order after us and get served before us. Two, that our table took so long to order that by the time the waitress got the food into system it had taken that long. We were all frustrated as it was obvious we were deserted for the other tables...not enough servers. The thing that really bugged us is the manager tried to say we took so long ordering. We ordered in about 5 minutes max because we were all sitting waiting for so long ready to order. Weak, weak, weak. I, along with rest of our group won't be going back. To be fair, my burger was okay. Everyone else liked their food except the three that had the fish and chips... too much batter.

good interior and service was decent. However, the food wasn't the best. Food took a while to be served. Mashed potato has dried up from sitting out for a while and the dessert was still frozen in the middle.
