Do not go to this Scotiabank absolutely horrible service. The staff here are not accommodating and actively find ways to deny service.nnI first tried applying for a credit card and the advisor was unwilling to tell me what I need to do to get approved. The panetella told me if I have a household income or investments to back my application and got approved on the same day.nnNow I tried opening a joint savings account and explained I was trying to get promotional offers from completely unrelated companies and the advisor felt uncomfortable to open the account.nnGo to the panatela branch located 10 minutes away, they helped me every time this branch denied me service. Or just visit the TD 1 minutes away. They opened the joint account while explaining my plans to get promotional offers.
Horrible service at this branch. My advisor was not understanding about the situation at all and repeatedly told me that I am wasting his time and that he will not wait for me to correct documents to show him: as the appoint was booked for 1 hour, he says he wants to wrap this up within 30 minutes and cannot wait or waste his time with us.

My car loan is with them and I wanted to make a lump sum payment, instead of helping me by telling me I could just set it up as a bill payment with my other free bank account with a different institution, they proceed to tell me of ways to do a payment that would require me to pay money, by either opening an account with then, a bank draft, or to get a cheak.nnNeed to educate their staff for people who are new to having loans and don't know this stuff
Bank has a policy of a digital hour. Staff standing around doing nothing. Customers coming in to speak to staff and being told they can only help them use the machine. It's pathetic.
