If you're craving authentic Salvadoran pupusas, head to Plaza St-Hubert in Montreal! This delicious treat is a thick cake or flatbread made from cornmeal, stuffed with pork, cheese, and beans, and served with sauerkraut and pulled pork. While there are two Sabor Latino supermarkets in town, only this one has pupusas made by real Salvadoran hands, just like back home. Confirmed by my Salvadoran friend! #PupusaPerfection #TasteOfElSalvador
Went 2 times. I amnNot fully Hispanic, but I lived in the US for a while, I know a bit about Cuban , dominican and Mexican food. This place is the most polarized restaurant/ store I have been too. I went only for the hot buffet. 1 st experience was amazing, out of Thai world taste. Compare easily to authentic Latin food from Latin areas in New York or Miami. The 2 bd time I went was horrible. The rice tasted like expired, the chicken breast was dry and tasteless. The pupusa was mushy. Very weird the contrast. I would love for someone in management to comment on this and explain to the huge variations in quality! Thanks
If you have 2$CAD buy a fresh salad; if you have 7.50$CAD buy fresh sweet tamales.... My self-care is to keep eating until I explode!nAfter a difficult Thursday juggling too many teens and too many bills, I knew my Happy Mummy facade would crack if I did not do something for me. I took myself out to eat a wholesome, nourishing, delicous meal at my favourite grocery store. Tamales, plantanos, arroz, ensalada, pollo, yucca, arepas, papusas, flan..., it is always hard to pick only one.nKitchen and supermercado staff are trilingual, friendly, and professional. Meals are an affordable treat. I usually bring the children but today's visit was just for me to relax, stuff my face, and waddle home. We will eat the four tamales tonight! Gracias Supermercado Sabor Latino!
Great place in Montreal for you to get different sort of things from Latin American countries, you find great variety of products from Colombia, Mexico, Peru, etc. So if you miss food and products from your country, Sabor Latino is definitely the place to go. Also they have affordable prices which makes it amazing.
Pupusas and empanadas one Chilean, one Colombian. Sabor Latino is nice, they have a supermarket stacked with products from Latin America but at a higher price. There’s also the food serving section where you pick what you want , they give you a tray and you can sit nearby at one of the tables inside to enjoy.nnThere’s another smaller Sabor Latino on St Laurent with better service because in this one the food was served cold.
