The husband and I spent one night at this hotel.  We stayed at Rm #814. Since this property was converted from an apartment complex, you can expect the rooms to be VERY spacious. This advantage alone provided extra bang for the buck. Furthermore, we were pleasantly surprised by how well-appointed our room was.

Two factors made our stay a little less-than-perfect: the lumpy mattress and pillows, plus audible foot traffic from the unit above us. If you are comfortable with stairs, definitely opt for a room on the top floor. Overall, though, our stay here was an above-average experience.

I don't usually write reviews, but this place was great! The atmosphere of the Residence felt like being at home. This is something that not many hotels are able to achieve. In others you feel a coldness and emptiness to them, but at the Residence you feel the warmth of a homely welcoming! They have beautifully decorated rooms (burgundy painted wall in front of bed that highlights the crispy white bedsheets and the wooden headboard). The furniture is well kept. Very clean rooms. And one of my favorite things was the smell of the bedsheets which had a lovely aromatic smell! The staff was friendly.  Breakfast is included and it is really good! Happy I chose to stay here rather than the Hyatt. If you like comfort, elegance, aromatic bedsheets, good breakfast, and a clean, homey place, stay here.

I stayed here for a week long business trip. The staff was 5 star great! The Rooms big and clean, BUT extremely noisy on the bottom floor you could hear the people upstairs walking around sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling (yes they were just walking around). It says they have a exercise room, problem is it smaller than the guest rooms consisting of two treadmills one elliptical and dumbbell weights from 5lb to 25 lbs. It is however very close to the loyd center and other business so you don’t have to drive to get a meal. Over all was not horrible just don’t stay on the bottom floor.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath Suite in room 334. We really enjoyed the room and the service was great. They did forget to call when my room was ready so they waived the parking fees which was very nice and unexpected. The breakfast was amazing and we really enjoyed our time at this hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks on business and I actually enjoyed my stay with them quite a bit compared to other hotels I have stayed in around the Portland area. The staff was friendly and willing to assist. The complimentary food was pretty good. The only complaint I have is the gym they offer is not adequate.. I had to get a gym membership at a local gym because there is no equipment in the hotel.. if there was at least a cable machine to perform workouts for different muscle groups I would have given this place 5 stars.
