McMenamins White Eagle Saloon & Hotel

If you are looking for a unique place to stay for the evening, I highly recommend The White Eagle. The atmosphere of the rooms are very different from the sterile, generic mainstream hotels. The saloon is excellent with so much to look at while you eat or drink. Their turkey sandwiches are my personal favorite item on the menu, especially the special cranberry sauce in the sandwich. The manager/staff were great as well!

My husband's band performed at the White Eagle. We ordered food and drinks and the staff was kind, accommodating, very prompt, and eager to help. The food was hot and fresh and delicious! The pub itself is old and I could sense the ghosts of a bygone era, from a time when the west was a little more wild. All in all, I loved it and would go back again!

Super cool atmosphere bar and grill where many famous musicians played. Live music. Food was super. Scott waited on me and was super friendly. Gave me some printed info on the history of the place and arranged for a tour of the haunted hotel upstairs.

Incredible music venue, venerated for good reasons. Responsive service. Reasonable cover charge. Highest price I've paid for a pint all year, but I guess everything about Portland is getting expensive!

Went just to do our passports. They were very helpful. Lots of stairs to get upstairs but not to scary. Passport has been lots of fun. Have lived in Portland/Vancouver area 50 years and seeing so many new unique places with the passport.
