Fun little wine bar near. We sat at the bar, where we could chat with the bartender. Food was delicious, the chickpea fries were standouts, and the sauces were rich and tasty. We were kinda surprised by the limited selection of local wines, but we were able to manage. A good date night splurge kind of place.
A lovely spot with a great atmosphere! They had some live music, Rotten Apple Rukus blue grass/jazz, when we visited as well. I'm not much of a connaisseur, but the staff seemed very knowledgeable about wine and I even overheard one of the waitresses giving the couple beside us tips on which vineyards to check out in the Okanogan. I wouldn't take off a star for it because it was more of a personal opinion, but the food was a bit expensive and "haute cuisine" for my tastes. I'd be very happy with some cheaper/plainer bites so I could spend more on drinks!
We went to Rain Dog a couple weeks ago and Hubby had the blind date flight and is still talking about how fabulous the wine was. They switched up the flight to accommodate an all red tasting. He basically can’t wait to go back!! They serve small plates, most of which I cannot eat due to my dietary needs but we did have the cheese plate and the chocolate dessert. Both good, nothing outstanding and quite expensive for what it is. Saw a few of the other dishes served and again nothing looked spectacular and very pricey for what is served. Would we go back, yes for sure but not for the food. There was also a solo live musician on and he was really good. Playing very appropriate music for the atmosphere. It’s a small and cute little joint.
Absolutely beautiful wine bar. When we got there, there was live music playing wonderfully gorgeous bluegrass music, it was magical. I had the Clap Hands cocktail and it was one of the best I've had in a long time! Our server was extremely kind, as was the owner. It's tucked away and so the patio isn't too loud, it feels perfectly intimate. I have been recommending it to all my friends, and hopefully going back very soon!!!
From service and atmosphere to the mouth watering dishes, this new gem in town is a great choice for supporting and enjoying local business! Our palette's were spoiled that evening. We left the wine pairing to our server and her suggestions were bang on. We enjoyed the intimate and warm atmosphere that came from the cozy size of the location and the warm lighting and candlelight. We wanted to try everything on the menu. One day I might order just an entire loaf of that fresh and crunchy house baked sourdough and a pound of the heavenly caramelized onion butter. Yum!
Was highly anticipating the opening of Rain Dogs, and recently went for the first time. Whatever expectations I had were blown away. Cocktails were fantastic, and a small, but great and balanced beer selection. The blind date wine flight is a very fun experience and the wine selection is extremely thoughtful. But the revelation was the food, which was extraordinary, and I can't say enough about the staff and the experience they were able to provide, even with the limits from the current pandemic. A wonderful all around experience, and a perfect spot for date night!
WOW. Sublime experience truly. The attention to flavor and quality of ingredients make it so worth it. Yes, it is on the pricier side so save up and don't complain. We tried the chickpea fritters, which were SO good with the aoili and oil on the side. The chicken liver pate, which was beautiful and melt in your mouthy. We also had the special of oysters and tartar and I'm still dreaming of it. The oysters were finished with a watercress oil and just WOW. Lights out. If I had to pick the weakest dish, it would be the duck ravioli as the ravioli was just OK, but it came in a cauliflower sauce that was so rich and light at the same time, and we were able to mop it up with a side of bread. Not one speck of food was left on our plates I kid you not. We also got margaritas that were lovely and well balanced. Great food and lots of fun!
This was lukewarm. Live music was great, atmosphere and decor - very nice, patio - cute. Service was insanely slow. I mean. It took an hour for cheese plate to show up, and it was so underwhelming and over priced. When we asked how come the cheese plate is taking this long - we ordered it with wine, and the point is to eat it WITH wine, by the time it showed up, after a couple of other plates, some people finished their winesome of us only have one drink. the waitress said - oh I didn’t know and wasn’t told you want your cheese plate first. Hmmm. We ordered it together with the wine. Why would you think we want it after our food? Confusing. Every dish came we ordered 6 - four of the six came with the same bread. Because dishes were TINY, I was left feeling like I was eating bread all night long. Anyways. Place has potential. But not there yet.
Had an amazing meal and the most delicious drinks at Rain Dogs Wine Bar. I tried the cocktail made with Kombucha and it was so good! The Duck Tortellini is delicious Rain Dogs should bottle and sell the sauce it comes with - I wanted to lick the plate, but restrained myself. The grilled Pulpo was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Every dish we tried was amazing. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We tried the wine flight and enjoyed each of the wines as well as the discussion with the resident sommelier. All-in-all a delightful evening. Loved the decor, loved the ambiance and loved the artwork. My new “date night” restaurant!!
Stopped in here on Saturday night. Was a great experience; the staff was exceptional and were awesome at figuring out what wine and cocktails we would enjoy trying. The food we had was amazing to look at and was even better to taste. The place has a great atmosphere; we'll be back!
