My husband and I came all the way from Vancouver and we were super happy with everything we ordered. The service was excellent and situational aware. We ordered 3 different appetizers to share and they all came really fast. Then for the main course we had lamb and scallop risotto. I have to admit that everything was delicious. I would love to come back soon!
Enjoyed dinner with my girlfriend on the water on a cold winter night with a magnificent view of the water even when it was snowing. Showed up with no wait and was seated immediately and coats were checked. Server did take some time to come but understandable that it was a full house and during the holidays not all staff were on duty. Ordered the Risotto and Short Rib Lasagna and was definitely not disappointed at all. Food tasted great and whole experience was just good stuff. Will definitely be back!
A very wonderful restaurant. Very beautiful location. Wonderful staff. I went for lunch with a friend and it was absolutely worth it. Likes: The food was amazing. Tried the West Coast Fish Chowder for the first time and I fell in love. Topped it up with the Harvest salad. I sincerely have no negatives. The location was perfect. The staff were wonderful. It wasn't too noisy. Dislikes: None that I can think of If you're ever in Victoria BC, I will highly recommend this restaurant. I know my wife would love it so it's on the list for next time I'm in town.
I went for my Partners birthday. It was our first time here, and we will definitely be returning. The atmosphere was great with the amazing views of the Harbour, and the food was amazing. We shared the bread&butter and the Humboldt squid appetizersget the squid, seriously. Then, she had the scallop w/mushroom risotto, and I had the lamb. It's definitely a place to check out .
What an awesome suggestion by our wonderful realtor Dane Kingsbury of Victoria I need to write him a review next. Our excellent server Nevin made our lunch a really great one . We were a group of 7 so open table wouldn't let me book 7 so I booked 4 and 3 and when I arrived and explained to the lovely hostess she found us 2 booths back to back with panoramic water views. The food was fantastic and I thought for the price....it was very reasonable. The salads were crisp and fresh, my son loved his wagyu beef burger, steaks were done with perfection, mussels divine Nevin brought us a spoon as he gave us a great tip cause the broth is incredible . Thank for such a great dining experience and kudos to Nevin....he even gave us a good recommendation for his barber .
Went for brunch today as I’ve seen the brunch menu and was intrigued by the Braised Short Rib Hash. The brunch menu has a good selection of items with several options of Eggs Benedict and several other delicious sounding items but I was there for the Hash. I like to order any breakfast item with Hollandaise on the side so I can add as much or little as I want, plus I want to see the food before it’s covered in sauce. The meal arrived and it did not disappoint! The eggs were poached a perfect medium, the potato hash browns were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside they looked homemade but I can’t say for sure and forgot to ask and the aged cheddar was a nice touch. The star of the dish was the braised short rib - amazing! And they did not skimp on the portion! Every mouthful was flavorful and delicious! It was one of those memorable dishes that will bring me back. On a related note, I was at B&B a week or so ago for Happy Hour with my sister and mother and we enjoyed a selection of items from the Happy Hour menu and to say we enjoyed them immensely is an understatement. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pics but next time I go for their Happy Hour I’ll be sure to get some good pics
We celebrated a family birthday here, and everything was excellent! The service exceeded expectations, as did the food! We each had something different, and it was all well plated and very tasty! The staff were very welcoming, and it was very enjoyable to eat in a place where you know everyone is fully vaccinated :- I would highly recommend Boom + Batten for any occasion, even if it is just an excuse to eat out. Great view from every table, and some wonderful outside seating when the weather improves.
Delicious food, incredible drinks. The oysters were incredibly fresh, arctic char was delightfully crispy, and the gnocchi rossio was well balanced. Highly recommend the earl grey martini. The only reason it wasn’t 5/5 was because it took over an hour for our mains to arrive after we finished our starters. People around us we’re also waiting a very long time.
Classy, accomodating, beautiful day and night view as well as the environment and atmosphere are private enough to get lost in a conversation even with the restaurant being busy. Food is absolutely perfect, every ingredient and detail compliments each other. Drinks are so well balanced and made inhouse, you can't copy any cocktail there and they're full out masterpieces. Service is great, thier staff talks comfortably & professionally. They're friendly as well & we got a couple recommendations on the menu. We already have plans to go back to try specific items on the menu! Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to into the restaurant Dietary restrictions: Paleo options as there's a lot of seafood.
Just came here for few drinks and it was lovely. The service and the place were amazing. Our waiter was super kind and friendly. The place has a wonderful view and great atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back and try their food. In addition, they also have a bakery. We tried the macarons and they were fresh and delicious. I high recommend this place!
