This place is stunning and a lot bigger than it seems. Truly a hidden gem… but the food also lived up to the expectation. ALL of the soup dumplings were outstanding…. Still dreaming about them! The crab meat dumplings were delicious but the pork ones were just as good. Also the pan fried juicy buns were also another personal favourite must have!
I visited Qin’s Garden today with the intention of trying soup dumplings for the first time! I didn’t know what to expect, and experiencing how to eat these pockets of goodness was definitely new to me, but it was an absolute delight! The flavours in the broth and the dumpling stuffing was filled with the perfect balance of spices. Their was a perfect ratio of soup, to dumpling stuffing, and the dumpling casuing itself wasn’t overwhelming in the mouth. Each dumping with cooked to perfection! We also ordered the Red BBQ Braised Pork Belly, Pork and Chives Steamed Dumplings, Tomato Scrambled Eggs and Beef Fried Rice. The only thing I would say is their rice was slightly chewy, but everything else was cooked to perfection.
Very delicious experience! I can't find soup dumplings from my small town. Absolutely loved the pork soup dumplings with the chili vinegar. Definitely killed a huge craving! The wontons were extremely fresh! Highly recommend a visit! It was a high note to our long walk around the city.
The food tasted good but service was really slow. The wuxi spareribs came first and they were delicious. But it took a very long time for the juicy bun with crab meat and pork and pan fried juicy buns to be served. Really busy on a Sunday afternoon, I wouldn’t recommend coming to eat at this busy time. The juicy buns were really good as people say. The fried buns weren’t as good with the buns being too thick and too oily. The sauce options being only vinegar and chili oil was not so great. I am more used to eating soup buns with black vinegar and ginger sauce.
I love the food and service here. The food is just perfectly seasoned. The staff are nice too. I am full and don’t feel bloated after having pretty much 6-course meal. Jeez man, I wish I knew this place earlier. You gotta try the soup dumplings. It’s magical.
This restaurant is a true gem in Toronto Chinatown for anyone looking for juicy dumplings. The menu features a variety of dumpling options, including pork, shrimp, crab. I personally love the crystal shrimp juicy dumpling. So delicious!!! These dumplings are perfectly seasoned, juicy and packed with flavor. The broth inside the dumplings bursts in your mouth with every every bite.
Decided to come here when my partner and I were craving soup dumplings! We got the real crab meat tofu, the three whites filling wontons, glutinous siu mai and steamed pork soup dumplings. For some reason I was expecting something else for the tofu dish, maybe I got it mixed up with another tofu dish but it was still yummy! Just thicker than I expected. The wontons were yummy as well, came with loads of toppings that you place into the bowl after the server gives it to you. My partner really wanted the glutinous siu mai as it reminded of his childhood in Wuhan! It was my first time trying it! But the main character of the dinner was the soup dumplings, they were so so juicy and full of soup and flavour. You won’t be disappointed if you come here! Everything was great and it’s located in the middle of Chinatown. I would def come again!
A hidden gem in Chinatown! I went there with my bf last weekend and we ordered their signature Crab Meat Soup dumplings and Wonton. All soup dumplings are made to order, so they taste very fresh and juicy. In terms of size, their soup dumplings are quite large, almost twice as large as other soup dumplings sold at other stores. The brand was founded in 1751, and their soup dumpling recipe has been passed down four generations, quite impressive!
Soup dumplings are huge and the filling is like a meatball. The soup itself was a little sweeter than what I’m used to so I needed to add the vinegar/chilli oil when normally I like to enjoy the original soup by itself. I wish there was more crab in their real crab meat and tofu. The flavour of crab was there but the crab meat itself might have melted into the broth/sauce.
Really nice vibes in the restaurant, clean and open until later. We ordered the staples: soup dumplings, pan fried fluffy buns, chive pockets, sweet sour ribs and sweet rice pumpkin pancakes. A bit on the greasier side, and the dumplings skins very thick, but there was soup and filings were decent. The ribs were a bit disappointing, lacking a bit of the sourness intended. Overall cozy and good for a casual bite!
