Was super excited when this place opened. As a northern Chinese pork buns was a staple growing up. The place for the most part lived up to my expectations. The buns were pretty good and lots of different options in flavours to try. I did get sick afterwards, not sure if that’s from the buns or somewhere else. Recommend eating in rather than take out as the buns are exponentially better hot out of the kitchen.
This is home style Chinese food. The buns, noodles, dumplings were good but not great. The price is good here. I’ll come again, just the food needs to a little less oily, Give the customers like a water jug instead of a small water cup or tea then it will be a five star.
New place not even on the map. Had a breakfast of wonton soup here. Asked if I wanted it spicy and with spring onions and Chinese parsley. Said yes to all three. The broth was flavorful and the soup had broccoli, chopped tomatoes and baby bok choy in it. Lots of shrimp/pork wontons. Came with free lemon infused water. Very clean vibe. Looking forward to coming back and trying their Chinese buns.
Very homey environment, clean and quiet. As the chef promised, their steamed buns taste very fresh and flavorful. You can find all the ingredients in the buns as listed, such as the seafood bun which is our favourite! Another recommended flavor is the spicy beef. Their healthy congee selections are very good too. We highly recommend the millet pumpkin congee! Will come again!
Okay, this place is cute in its own old school Chinese way. Our server was like a cute Chinese mama, very eager to break down the menu, and encourage the baos. Both the fried and steamed baos were great. The noodles and dumplings were not as good. The food was a bit slow to come, but mama was very apologetic saying they were kitchen short staffed because of illness. The day we went, their credit/debit machine was wonky, so good to have some cash on hand in case. The space is sizeable with lots of tables, and some stools at the front if you want natural light.
Best Bao and dumpling in Toronto. They use nothing but the best quality ingredients and made fresh when you order.
BauZza BauZza is a restaurant with well priced classic Chinese comfort foods. The menus items are simple, home cooked style dishes that are nostalgic and tasty. The pork buns were juicy and flavourful. Service was quick. The decor is simple but that doesn't really matter. It is not a place for fancy dinner date, but great for a relaxed quick lunch.
Best buns & fried dumplings in Toronto! Juicy, flavoury with large portion and low price. Also try their beef soup and tofu pudding as the best matches of their buns.
Very tasty!! Love the lamb wonton!
I came because I wanted to have a warm bowl of soup. I ordered the beef soup with tofu and sweet potato vermicelli. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very flavourful - the soup was more water than broth. I also got the curry chicken bun, which was unique and I enjoyed. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing here, as bao seems to be the focus. If I come again, I will probably try the baos rather than the noodles.
