Definitely seems like a newer restaurant that hasn't caught on in popularity yet, but it is a hidden gem in Chinatown. Very clean, bright atmosphere, and staff are very attentive and polite. I've been here for dim sum twice now and the food is very good. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. Will be coming back more often for sure!
I walked in without expectations. I was surprised by the ambiance; clean and minimalistic. Best mushroom fried rice - My favourite was the truffle fried rice, it was excellent! An absolute must order for mushroom lovers. The Shrimp dumpling and the wonton soup wasn’t special, so I planned to order their signature dish ‘crispy garlic shrimps’ but I was notified by the server that it came with shells-on. 5 stars to the young man! since I like my shrimps cleaned.
First time here with my family. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. The price is reasonable. Atmosphere is comfortable and modern. They also have a private room for friends / family gathering. Highly recommended and will definitely return.Food: 5/5
Thìs place is modern and clean. Spacious and bright am with booths and also VIP rooms which is a nice touch. Service is fast, friendly and helpful. The beef gailan is perfectly done. I would recommend asking for less sweet n sour sauce on the fried fish and pork so it is crispier and less sweet. Really enjoyed the crab balls. Overall, an excellent and much needed addition to Chinatown. I know most restaurants here are too dated compared to uptown. We also came tried their dim-sum and it was fantastic. Enjoyed the congee with Chinese long donuts.
I believe this place was a newer restaurant when I ate here last night. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern aesthetic this Chinese restaurant had. It was very spacious which gave a more comfortable and luxurious feel to my dinner. I feel like it would be a great place to have a family or birthday dinner! They even have private rooms for you to have dinner or lunch! The food was pretty tasty and very fresh! We ordered from the all day dim sum menu and it came out so steamy and hot! Will definitely go back and try their family style dishes!
Had a big dinner at Wok Theory and everything was delicious. It's like they have all the stuff I like in one place. It's also very nice and new looking inside. Will definitely be back again!Food: 5/5
i ordered take out today and found the prices are fair and the food is delicious. the shrimp dumplings and shrimp rolls were fried to perfection and filled perfectly 9/10. the bbq pork buns were very good and just a step up from the rest ive had in the city 8/10. the dough fritter rice noodle roll was awesome, the fritter is fried just enough that provides a nice crunch 8/10. the chicken feet had some of the best flavour ive ever tasted and the skin was nice and juicy 9/10. the tripe was excellent, steamed perfectly with a great bite and chew 9/10. the beef balls were great and the corn at the bottom was a nice touch 8/10. fortune cookies are always a nice treat as well, that was a cool surprise!
We stumbled to this place as ee are curious of what they can offer. They gave wide range of food options, service was really great, atmosphere was like cozy, and the food prices are pretty reasonable. The only thing that surprised us was, the tea that they serve as you sit. We thought it's free. But nope, they charged us for the tea per person. I didn't drink tea at all but yeah it was $3 per person. Nevertheless, we did not bother to ask. We just really assumed that it is free as most of the restaurants that we've been to, tea is free to drink so as service water.
Great quality of Chinese food. The service provided was amazing. Clean and modern interior. The portion is tiny bit smaller compared to other Chinese restaurants
Authentic Cantonese Cusine # # Late night dinner with my friend also a Chef like myself and we are both Chinese ~Eggplant Chili Sauce in Hot Pot # Without a doubt this is the best I have ever had in my life. I have eaten this dish all over the world and if you were to tell me this was a from Michelin Star restaurant, I wouldn't question it. It was seasoned perfect cooked to perfection, it's not too oily not too salty not too mushy the eggolant still has a bite to it. We are both chefs and this is a dish we ate growing up and have eaten it throughout the world, after the first bite, we starred at each other with the look, then we decide to order rice , so we can eat the sauce we almost never order rice, but it was so good ! ~XO Seafood Fried Rice Noodle #XO This was equally delicious and tasty it has great #wokhei # was also great , done to perfection , ~Half Golden Skin crispy chicken # It was tasty seasoned perfectly, this is a very tasty chicken again done right. this is Cantonese cuisine at its best! We also ordered xia long bao Pork Soup Dumpling, this isn't the place to order this dish as this is a Cantonese cuisine and Xlb is a northern chinese cusines dish I am however curious about their dim sum now that I know their main dish are one of the best I have ever had and not just in Toronto/GTA but all over the world So about tonight , Chef Betty and I decide to try out wok theory which had only opened for 2 weeks , because we couldn't figure out where to eat at it's close to 10pm between the both of us , we have probably eaten at every place Chinatown has to offered and we are both chefs , Chinese ethnic, we were impressed and glad we did came tonight . The place is elegant and done beautifully, you don't get to see places like this in downtown, you see these type of interior more in Markham or GTA , Richmond Hill etc .. Highly Recommended, the pricing is fair and won't break the bank. actually this type of quality usually only found in high end restaurants or even hotels restaurant in Asia. As a chef myself I highly recommend this place to anyone including other chefs !
