1st time here! Came with family who live here and I can see why the place is so popular. I found out that only if u have 6+ can u make a reservation and it’s only at 6 or 730 pm. The place was packed when we walked in! There were tables for 2 that were on a wait list up to 2 hours! Now I understand why they gave us the s when we were hitting the 1.5 hr mark for time limit for our table. People were lined up out the door waiting for our table. By the way if u are coming for a birthday like I did, the staff will turn off the lights and encourage everyone to sing the birthday song if you bring in a cake.nnFood was delicious & the wings were my favorite. Love the lemon pepper sauce that was given to us to dip it in. Definitely worth a trip here if ur planning on going to Chinatown. We ordered g veggie, numbers: 87, 52, 78, 37, 56
Phnom Penh in Vancouver’s Chinatown was one of the highlights of our food trip. The place is always buzzing—and for good reason.nWe absolutely loved the food here. The deep-fried chicken wings were incredible—crispy, garlicky, and full of flavor. But the real group favorite? The oyster pancake—so good we had to order another round! Lightly crisp on the outside, soft and packed with oysters inside—it was rich, savory, and perfectly executed.nWe didn’t get to try the Beef Luc Lac this time, but with a menu full of Cambodian and Vietnamese classics, it’s easy to see why people keep coming back.nIt gets crowded fast, so expect a wait—but once you're in, the food and energy more than make up for it.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants bold, unforgettable flavors in Vancouver.
We visited this restaurant at the recommendation of a local resident and it did not disappoint. We ordered the chicken wings a must-try, the papaya salad, #6 noodles with pork, accompanied with a broth, and the marinated butter beef. The food was amazing and wish we could have this place in Los Angeles. We are going back before we leave and cannot wait to come back in the future. The wait time is well worth it. Don't leave without eating here.
I went back twice within two weeks because I loved the food so much. I would definitely go an hour before you actually wanna eat though because there is typically always a line here. the chicken wings are delicious and the fried rice is also bomb. despite being busy the service is attentive too!
You can only make a reservation when you have more than 6 people, which is inconvenient since there’s always a lineup. We waited for almost an hour on a rainy weekday.nnTheir portions are big with generous prices, but the quality is just standard, nothing special. I have to say their fried rice is pretty good, still not the best one I’ve had though.nnIf you’re bringing non-Asians friends to try Asian food for the first time, here’s a good place to start since their dishes are pretty standard and easy to accept.
