Original Joe's Restaurant & Bar

Never again! We have been regulars with Cloverdale Original Joe's and tonight I had the worst meal and service I have ever had in any restaurant I have been to. I was looking forward to having a nice break from cooking tonight and we decided on this restaurant. It turned out to be a nightmare! First of all it took forever for us to be seated, then we ordered and it took forever for our meals to arrive. Then, we finally receive our food. I immediately eat the fries then went to pick up my Whiskey BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger and the bun was cold. I thought it was because I waited too long to eat it. But, when I bit into it, the bun was hard and still frozen. I told our server and she sent it back. My family was done their meal and I was still waiting. I asked a different server because our server was nowhere to be seen. She went to the kitchen and that took forever, more waiting. Then she comes back with my meal in a plastic container. I was confused, I didn't ask for my meal to go. I told her I didn't want it in a container. She proceeded to argue with me and tell me she took off 50% from our bill and basically I should be happy with this. I told her if I wanted a take out meal I would have just stayed home and did Door Dash. She continued to argue that I should be happy that they are compensating me and give them some credit. I would have been happier if she asked me if I would like my meal to go and give me a bit of a discount, but all I got was a terrible attitude. I can’t give credit for that. She continued to argue with me even when I told her I was done and do not want to discuss any further. She slams the credit card machine on the table with a scowl on her face. So, I take my take order home, by this time I lost my appetite. I open the carton and the bun was overdone on top but, when I poked into the middle it was still partially frozen. It went into the trash. No dinner for me. Worst restaurant experience ever and we will definitely not be returning to or even Door Dashing ever again from Cloverdale Original Joe's.

The menu here is so good! For those who have a gluten allergy, have the whisky burger. It's soooooo good! The gf buns are the best I've tasted. The margaritas are delicious too. Jade took care of us today, and she was friendly and efficient. Helped us navigate our way through the menu too. We'll definitely be back.

Short review:nHad a great conversation with Jayden, the bartender, when I came in. We talked about what she likes to order to assist me in choosing... which is what a good bartender does! Went with The West Coast Chop salad. Delicious! Great service, friendly staff... based on my experience, I will be back again!nThe longer review:nJayden rocked! Smiling face, great personality, and engages in great conversation. Knows her bar and what they sell, and knows the menu, inside and out. And when asked, although she believes everything is great, she will still guide as she tries to understand your preferences.nThere were several great choices to make. Well known for their hamburgers but I already had one at lunch, and sides galore, Jayden guide me through Burgers, Beef Dip, even the Jalapeno Mac & Cheese... but the West Coast Chop stuck with me. And it was awesome. Tangy, some sweet, some crunch... a well-balanced salad... oh, and I got it with Cajun Chicken... good choice.nBesides Jayden, had a wee conversation with another server. Everyone was very pleasent and fun. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.nThank you for a great meal and some entertainment when travelling! Cheers!

I love beef dip. I'm a huge fan of the Brown's French Dip ..... however I think OJs has them beat. It was amazing. Great service, great food, lots of parking. We'll definitely be back.

I came in with a group of friends to have lunch and some drinks. I Split the chicken wrap with my hubby and it is delicious. We have had it before.nI believe our server’s name was Quinn and he was So amazing as he was fun energetic had great recommendations and a great personality. There was another girl working there as well. She has actually served me in the past and she was equally as good and even when seating us she was super awesome. All in all a great experience, we will definitely be back many times more.
