I attended Rusty’s last night had a negative experience due to the barbaric behaviour of the bouncers.nnAfter having two drinks, an appt and our meal arrived, I went outside with a friend. I noticed that some guys had drinks with them. I made a lighthearted comment about wishing we had brought our drinks outside too. One of the men, who I later learned were bouncers, responded assertively that we couldn’t do that. When I asked for clarification, I was told that the drink he had was in a tumbler. I pointed out that it shouldn’t matter, and then I remembered I had an unopened drink in my purse. As we went to a friends for a drink prior to coming. We had gotten a ride and it was still in my purse.nnThe bouncer immediately claimed that he knew about the drink now and said we were no longer welcome at the establishment. Despite my attempts to explain, I had been buying their drinks the last hour while attending the pub He didn’t care and simply said it. We were kicked out, leaving our full drinks and newly delivered meals behind. He could have confiscated it and then allowed us but then said “drink it, you’re not going back in anyways” My friend tried to go and retrieve her phone from the table but was aggressively pushed back and told she couldn’t go back inside. This was 7pm and bouncers were already being forceful and with a woman. They need some coaching on how to de-escalate situations. Not everything is about their typical 20 year old patrons. Our friends, who organized the event, went to speak with the manager but were not given a chance to hear our side. They then refused to let our remaining friend at the table leave without paying our portion of the bill!! I personally had a full drink and meal uneaten at the table that I wasn’t allowed to go in to. As do my friend.nnIt’s disheartening to see how a minor issue escalated into a significant conflict. If the bouncers had calmly explained who they were, the rules regarding outside drinks and given us the option to comply, we would have gladly done so. Instead, the aggressive handling of the situation not only lost two paying customers but also left a negative impression on everyone about the experience.nnRusty’s should reconsider how they handle such situations. A more respectful and understanding approach from staff could have prevented this unfortunate incident. I hope management /ownership takes this feedback seriously to improve future experiences for customers. Looking at the reviews the bouncers have come up a few times along with customer service. Small situation turned into lost opportunity for the leadership to come and make it right on both sides.
The name says it all, it's your rustic neighborhood pub. We ordered appies and split. The portions for the tacos were great but disappointing for the Yorkies, the wings were cold.
Went to Rusty Neighborhood Pub for dinner and had a great experience! They have the best vegetarian burger—the black bean burger was delicious. I asked to swap fries for onion rings, and they accommodated it.nnTried the Red Truck Lager and got a discount on the fish and chips since it was the Wednesday weekly feature—great deal! The staff was really nice, and the service was excellent.nnOverall, a solid spot for good food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
Just happened upon Rustys for a drink and a bite to eat. We'll certainly be back!!!! Had their sliders and wings during happy hour. Sliders were incredible and the wings were good - not as big as we've had elsewhere but decent and not overcooked.nService provided by Theresa was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!
