The Clayton Pub

Went for breakfast after seeing ads on Facebook and driving by it many times. Food was lower quality than I'd make at home and almost the same price as a proper breakfast restaurant like Ricky's. Will probably try again in the evening since I hear good things about the rest of the menu but our part of 5 wondered why anyone goes there for the breakfast... Many other pubs with cheaper/better breakfasts.

Came for a fundraiser night. Barely knew the team hosting it. Didn’t even pay $20 for a burger and beer. Sat at a table near the party but got kicked off numerous tables despite the fact I wanted to order off the regular menu. There was approximately a dozen other people who after having their burger/beer, wanted to continue to drink and eat off the regular menu. The manager refused to let us sit at other tables to accommodate our drinking. We were prepared to shut the place down and drink our faces off the entire night, but that made zero difference to the manager who chose to leave numerous tables and booths empty at 9pm for “potential” customers who probably never came. We chose to leave and take our money elsewhere. Thanks for the service.

Love the seafood night but its quite a small pub so we had to wait for seats to free up and our waitress forgot to put in my order of tacos...so they never came. Which is weird because we had a conversation about them as i needed a recommendation on a sharable appy. Oh well!

Got to say, first place I've ever been that takes my money first (fund raiser) then takes 40 minutes to ask for my order (after grabbing my "waitress" to submit my order). Then after already paying and ordering, takes away two of our tables so we had to share 6 seats with 20 people, most of which were ordering food and drinks off of the regular menu as well. I literally had to stand in the aisle and eat my burger while there were empty tables present because they "weren't reserved for the fund raiser ". I can't express how terrible this experience was. This is my first review ever and I felt like I had to do something as a FU. If I can convince one person to not go, I've helped you. Even the managers shrugged us off, offering no solutions or even attempting to accommodate us (basically ignoring us). As I ate my food in the small aisle deliberately blocking traffic, the manager squeezed passed waiting for the issue to go away. I wish I went to McDonald's and ate a burger on the road in the snow.

I stumbled across this magnificent pub last Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the soothing orchestra of a exceptionally talented blue grass band. The beautiful music really set the tone for an enjoyable afternoon. And one of the employees provided the bar with a unique form of aroma therapy. He walked throughout the bar with a smoldering piece of cedar that gave one the feeling you were back in nature enjoying a crisp campfire. An amazing atmosphere all together. Please keep up the great tunes and especially the soothing smokey scent.
