The Henry Public House

Came here for some food and drinks on girls night. The food was decent but nothing special. The drinks were pretty good my friends got the colada but it was slightly pricy. The server was nice but didn’t know much about the menu. The place gets pretty busy after 10pm as it basically turned into a club which was pretty cool!

Use to live a few blocks away and would frequent for the $5.99 house special breakfast and $4 mimosas. Under new management, the special just increased to 8.99. Not worth it. Disappointing to see a local spot have such a large unwarranted increase with no change in food quality.

Came out last night for the night life, it was awesome!! Although I will say the lady bouncer or whatever that was in the women’s washroom. It was so very strange, she wouldn’t let me and girlfriend use the same stall which is way faster so that more people can get in the washroom. As the line was getting very long and it’s such a small washroom. Then 2 girls in the stall beside me broke a glass, so I notified the girl guarding the washroom. She asked me if it was me, I politely repeated the other girls broke a glass and that should be your main concern right now. As people are walking around with open shoes and such. She didn’t really seem to care and when I came back the next time, I ended up in the stall with the broken glass. Still all shattered and no one felt the need to clean it up. I’ve worked in many restaurant/ bars and that is absolutely not ok. I should’ve talked to a proper staff member, because it made me very angry nothing was being done about it. Someone could’ve ended up injured or worse.nnI hope your establishment will take this seriously.nnAlso why do you have a lady guarding the women’s washroom and not one in the men’s washroom? It’s all very strange to me and that part of it would make me think twice about coming back. Still an awesome place but all that was a little disappointing.nnOn top of that, one of the bartenders tried to cut my friend off. She wasn’t even close to being tipsy and it was her BIRTHDAY. She came to me all upset, so we went and talked to the outside bouncer and he told us not to worry he would get it figured out. It was just such a weird experience.nnI have emailed, no response.

Levi is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve encountered. From the moment I sat at the bar at The Henry, he made the experience exceptional. He’s a true asset to the team and a big reason I’ll keep coming back.

We went to ladies night on the 27th and stopped in to have our drinks and food. It was not busy when we go there. We ordered a bottle of the house wine and about 5 different appies. The server came back and said bcs of the strike they still did not have the house wine in stock. We went with her recommendation on something else. However, we ordered the Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, wanted wings and was told they were sold out, tater tots and fries. She came back to tell us sorry no Brussels sprouts and cauliflower were also. She brought water to the table and half of the glasses were dirty. I felt sorry for the server to be on the front line and having to deliver all this bad news. We were so disappointed thinking the Henry would have been better managed and prepared for a cloverdale Ladies Night event.
