We wanted to leave this review to share our excellent experience at this home hardware. About a month ago, our screen door was in poor shape, but Kevin was extremely helpful throughout the repair process. He made extra effort to ensure our door was restored to a good condition. He also gave good advice for fixing and maintaining the door. Would highly recommend this location for screen door repairs

I have been a customer of Oak Ridges Home Hardware since 1992. Anytime I need something, they hard it. Anytime I needed to repair something, they either could or give me instructions on how to. If they did not have it they would direct me to another Home Hardware within reasonable driving distance if my need was urgent, or order it in if not. If they didn't have it or could get it, they would find out where it could be found and direct me accordingly. Always friendly, always helpful, always there to help. One of my best DIY experiences ever! Today I made a trek to Oak Ridges Home Hardware for Carpenter's Glue. This glue is the equal to any other glue in its class, and comes in economical sizes for those who go through large quantities . At other big box stores the equivalent glue is $36.97 for 3.0l 1.23 cents per ml. At Home Hardware $24.97 for 3.8 litres. .7 cents per ml That is what I can great value! Same glue. I encourage all those looking for a great hardware store to give them a try, especially if you are looking for Carpenter's Glue! For me, it's worth the drive to Oak Ridges on a beautiful fall Sunday afternoon!

Service was good, got what I needed, I will be back. I found the Aesthetics inside the store to not be particularly appealing, could do with a face lift.

With a team of friendly staff, Home Hardware is a place to fulfill urgent needs of technical tools, hardware, parts and ..., with its limitation, you can always count on it.

My first experience at this location and this has become one of my favourite shopping experiences of late. The staff were accommodating and extremely friendly over the phone regarding the item we inquired about. When I arrived to pick up the item they had put aside for me, the staff was so pleasant, polite, and kind. The gentleman at Customer Service with such a kind demeanor, the cashier at check-out addressing me by name, and another cashier offering to get me a cart to help me carry my purchase to the car just made the experience all the more pleasant.

OMG! Do NOT shop at this store! I've lived in the area for over 20 years, and have tried to be supportive of local businesses. I'd have bad experiences, stay away, and then 'give them another chance'. Sure, there have been a few mediocre experiences, but it abundantly clear that the staff are not customer-focused. The customer service culture of this store is, simply, shameful.The staff have no interest in customers shopping there or their satisfaction or experience, they're simply going through the motions. The quicker they can get to "No", the better; or the sooner they can get the customer to leave--even if empty handed--the better! I'm NEVER going back. In today's episode, I was returning a broken Kuraidori knife. The packaging states: "Kuraidori products are unconditionally guaranteed and exclusive to Home Home Hardware". The employee and he's one of the regular guys---a mature adult, not a part-time student REFUSED to honour the warranty!! What???? So, I was on my way to Aurora anyway, stopped at the store there, and they exchanged the knife without any issue, questions, or difficulty. It was an excellent customer experience. After a 20-year history of these experience, I just can't imagine that there is ANYTHING they could do to make me walk in that store again as a paying customer. It's Canadian Tire or Home Depot for me! Pity the big box stores have to win. If there's something I need specifically from Home Hardware, I'm going to the Aurora store, they have way more selection and inventory anyway.

What ever you do, do NOT buy in this store. You will have very difficult time, or it will be completely impossible if you happen to need to return the purchased item. Just visit your local Home Depot or Lowe's instead for a much better customer experience instead.
