Flexible class times available everyday.
There is a gym to workout during opening times.
It is expensive but you get what you pay for. Suit, belt grading etc inclusive.
I do not expect to get spoon fed with 1:1 tuition unless I am having a really bad day. You gotta stretch, practice and improve your stamina in your own time between classes. Just like any school.
This is a good quality venue for most people to learn martial arts.

My kids are long time members. The teachers are great! Very dedicated! Best value for $$ when it comes to kids programs.

Great place to train, Release stress and unwind at the end of the day. The instructors are amazing and i love the fact that they have a fitness gym there also. Highly Recommend!

My kids have been registered at the NKS Markham for over 2 years. Great indoor facility, great instructors, however, I definitely see preferential treatment from some of the senior instructors for certain students and parents. Rates increase by $100 each year to incent parents to continue with their lower rate contracts. Prepaid annual membership is a little cheaper than monthly membership. I recommend monthly since the facility is over crowded and parking is difficult on most days especially in the winter time when the snow piles up and take up space in the parking lot. I agree with disciplining but the occasional yelling and screaming by some senior and rookie instructors are completely unnecessary. Even the great Bruce Lee was a mischief himself! These are kids and the lessons aren't free.
I have two kids attending of which one, I discovered has ADHD after I had already registered him and paid for full membership. I am currently riding out the contract and will be transferring both kids to another karate or martial arts school. We need a smaller dojo with a more pay per use type of membership. I need a small, cozy and more intimate environment that only comes with a smaller dojo. My son who has ADHD can not concentrate in a large class and can't seem to focus as there is way too much distraction. The class size is unpredictable and with over 800 members. Most days, it is very crowded and from my observation, there is very little room for movement to do the moves correctly; especially for a child who has difficulty focusing, it becomes harder when he can't see the instructor performing the correct moves in order for him to imitate. Fortunately there are a lot of choices in Markham from Taekwondo to Kung Fu to Judo, not to mention competing Karate schools. I know parents who have switched their ADHD kids out to a smaller school, are quite happy with the decision. I urge any parent to consider researching other arts and facilities based on the needs of their children especially those with ADHD; as providing them with the right environment is critical to their success. For now, the karate lessons are nothing more than a gym routine for him to get additional exercise until he's transferred to a program that can meet his needs better.

My kids love it here. The instructors are excellent and the facility is bright and clean.
