North Edmonton Medical Clinic

I went to see the doctor, Dr. Ahmed Alamelhuda, and I was given requisitions and to come back on either Saturday June 15 or Sunday June 16 to follow up. I went on Sunday, June 16 as a walk-in to find out he wasn't actually working due to an Islamic holiday- that's fine, but would've been nice to have notice.nnI then book an appointment for Tuesday, June 18 at 5:00 PM for my follow-up. I arrive at 4:45 PM and was told that it would be a minimum of 2 hour wait. I chose to rebook for today, June 19 @ 5:00 PM. I was once again told that it would be a 2 hour wait as there were 10 clients still ahead of me. I was told by the front desk that I can leave and she will call me back to see the doctor. I did not receive that phone call. I don't believe that this clinic actually cares about it's patients and just overfills the doctors schedules to be able to bill AHS.nnI honestly just want a doctor to look at my results and help me diagnose an issue. It doesn't seem like this is the clinic. If anyone has any recommendations for family physicians who are taking new patients, please let me know.

Appointment was quick and wait time was not very long. I was surprised how quickly the doctor came to see me. Overall the environment is very nice, especially thanks to Miss Caroline. She is amazing and helpful!Very nice, you feel very welcome there because of her.

The front desk staff are awesome, but Dr. Kitwanda is a joke. He is grossly incompetent. He has failed to provide proper care on multiple occasions and made my experience at this clinc into a nightmare. He does not care about or listen to his patients. He is disrespectful, untrustworthy, and always making things more difficult. I honestly think he should have his medical license revoked.

My first visit at this location went well, one of the receptionists were very welcoming. Didn’t wait overly long to meet with Dr. Lawrence Kitwanda for the first time, he was professional and felt like he took my health issues seriously. Best of all, the appointment didn’t feel rushed.

Called and booked an appointment at 1:15 showed up at 12:45 yes early confirmed appointment at 1:15 and waited. 1:30 asked how long and front staff said appointment was at 1:45! What?! She said 2 more ahead of us. I was early but if the appointnent was for 1:45 wouldnt they have told me i was an hour early?! I would have gone to do more errands. I understand doctors are busy but front staff could be better. Finally took us to a room and a different doctor at 2:30! Walkins were getting in before us.
