A security guard hassled me because my 5 year old was jogging down the hallway at 6:30pm to get to the elevator. He admonished my son first. And then stopped me and informed me that my son cannot run in the hallway because it might disturb other guests. While I’m all for creating a peaceful environment, try traveling with small children who are hungry and tired and forcing them walk in a very orderly way down a hallway, during the day, because of a security person who doesn’t have children and has unreasonable expectations. My son was not speaking or yelling. Just the sound of him jogging was not acceptable. It was maddening. There is something to be said for exercising discretion. I wish the security guard had been more gracious in his assessment and use of authority. I would not patronize this hotel again and I would not recommend it for those of you traveling with children.
We stayed there 1 night as we were flying out on an early morning flight. The hotel should be due for a refresh soon, still nice and clean, but rooms are looking a bit tired. The restaurant is nice, but expensive, but what choice do you have, they have a captive audience! A very nice benefit ... we were going south for 3 weeks, we packed our winter clothes in 1 suitcase which they stored for us for the duration, for free.nFor the location, in-terminal hotel, recommended.
The rooms are too hot to sleep in, even in the winter. An executive hotel is supposed to give you a nice comfortable sleep. Locking out the thermostat or having it revert to 72f after a few minutes is absurd. There’s no excuse for this. Let the customer set the temperature and have it stay there!
Went to the bar and i was treated poorly by the lady that lets in the guests, bartender was good, lady said bar closes in 5 mins but there was 20 more minutes left. Let me know if you want me to wear a suit next time or a shirt with formal pants to show that you guys only serve to rich people , ps i was wearing joggers and hoodie and had a backpack
“Out of respect and consideration for our customers”nnDear owner,nnDo you really think your customers, or anybody for that matter would take offence to seeing your establishment stepping up given the circumstances and allowing some comfort for some of the hundreds that were sleeping on dirty airport floors downstairs?nnYou guys benefit from the perks of being airport adjacent as a mode of operating. You’re listed as the Montreal Airport Marriott location, It is not an accident that you’re within meters of the terminals, your clientele and business is driven by the airport. However as soon as the downsides of being airport adjacent present themselves, you recuse yourselves from basic hospitality for people who have money btw who are stranded through extreme circumstances and flop to being a private property and suddenly have. Nothing to do with the airport. You get to have your cake and eat it too.nnI landed after midnight, and had a flight at 7:00am the following morning. Leaving the airport to find another place to stay was not an option, so I “slept” on the wooden bench of the coffee shop downstairs while you guys literally roped off the lobby that had a rug and couches.nnI want you to think about that fact that you’re a hospitality provider, but you’re too good to do the right thing and help make a crappy situation a little bit more hospitable for some when there’s nothing in it for you. This could’ve been good PR for you at the least.nnAlso, your staff had no empathy at all, and after I asked why the lobby was roped off I just got a remark about it how “it would be a vicious cycle if one person was allowed to sleep there”. That was it, no help or recommendations offered despite what you claim.
