Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Montreal-Dorval

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience overall. I’d definitely recommend it if you have a car—they offer free parking, which was a big plus. There aren’t any restaurants within walking distance, but there’s a wide variety of food delivery options available, so that wasn’t a problem for us. Complimentary coffee and tea provided 24/7 just right beside the front desk. Although don’t expect freshness.nnThe hotel provides a shuttle service to the airport, which was very convenient. It’s about a 15–20 minute drive away, so not too far. The area is also quiet and peaceful, which made for a relaxing stay.nnOne of the standout features was the free hot breakfast starting at 6 AM. Our flight was super early, and the staff went above and beyond by providing us with containers so we could take breakfast to go. The food was surprisingly good, and the kindness and attentiveness of the breakfast staff really impressed me.nnThe front desk staff was also excellent—friendly, prompt, and helpful with everything we needed.nnAll in all, it was a comfortable and convenient stay. Highly recommend if you’re flying in or out of the area and have your own transportation!

Everything about our stay was perfect. Room was well appointed and very clean. It felt brand new. Beds were super comfortable. There was a very nice free breakfast. We enjoyed the indoor pool. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location was very convenient for us.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!nnWe stayed at this location from June 27 to 29 2025 to attend a wedding and had booked 3 rooms for our big group. This was not our first stay and we booked here this time because we had a pleasant stay in the past. However, this time we had a horrible experience. A few hours after checking in our car got stolen. Our vehicle was parked at the front in the first spot. When we spoke to the front desk they had absolutely no empathy. The man at the front desk claimed these incidents were common. The following day another car was broken into. Many others claimed that their vehicle was stolen or broken into at this hotel and others near by. I understand when you park in any parking lot you park at your own risk, but the hotel should've have notified guests at check in that these specific inidents are a regular occurance.nnAs for safety precautions on the hotel's part, there does not seem to be any effort made. Near by hotels have implemented gates. I would rather pay $16/day for parking if there was secure parking situation. The whole experience and the response from hotel front desk makes me think the hotels are part of it. Instead of attending a wedding we spent our time arranging a rental car and purchasing carseats and other necessary items. We expect compensation for the inconvenience and stress this has caused.nnWill not be back!

Great service, called from YUL for a shuttle and it arrived promptly. The front desk is great to deal with, friendly staff! The rooms are great as well, I prefer cooler room temperatures and the HVAC did not disappoint! The location is a bit tricky in relation to downtown; however its proximity to YUL more than compensates for this.nWill definitely stay again!

Good hotel, 20-30 minutes from Old Montreal. Rooms are good. Partially hotel exterior under construction. Swimming pool only for small kids. Breakfast and coffee are quite good.
