Knowledgeable , friendly service from people who actually know what they are selling. Can always find someone to help with information. We don't buy hardware goods anywhere else if possible

My folks bought some windows and doors and a few specialty items here about a year ago. They were hugely overcharged – my guess is because they didn't know any better. The rest of the project was done through a contractor and through another retailer that did far better on pricing. Additionally some of the specialty items ordered were not what was really needed, again because they didn't know better. The store didn't really take any responsibility, and the contract sales guy was more angry about the fact they didn't get the rest of the project work.

Do not buy paint from this store! I've had multiple very bad experiences with this store. Not only was I given 2 mis-tinted gallons (out of a total of six or seven purchased), but the staff is often very rude. The quality of paint sold by Home Hardware is poor. Products from Dulux or Cloverdale - even their lower-end offerings - will outlast any product from Home Hardware, and staff will be both more knowledgeable and more helpful.

They were not at all helpful and didn't even attempt to direct me to the resources I needed for determining the loading on our teleposts; he stated they can't help me and literally hung up. If I would have caught this person's name before he hung up on me I would be filing a formal complaint. Not impressed and though I purchased there before many times, I will not be a return customer.
