Every other time, I have always gone to Home Depot for my home improvement projects, especially paint, but I wanted to try Rona out. I’m actually very disappointed I did, because I was let down and now I am paying the price in additional labour!!! I went to their paint department and spoke with the lady in that department, telling her that I wasn’t concerned about paying a higher price, but that I wanted Rona’s one coat paint/primer—stressing the entire time that I wanted one coat coverage for a sage green. When I got home, excited to start the transformation of my bathroom-I was shocked when I applied the first coat….then a second coat..followed by a third coat and will definitely need a forth coat. I have painted many walls in my lifetime, and I have never been more disappointed in a products lack of performance. I’m not sure if it was the ladies lack of training in this very specific and important area of the store, or if the paint is to blame?!? Either way, I have so much more work than I bargained for because of the poor quality of paint that cost me $70.00
I purchased a Pit Boss Series 5 smoker and it was badly damaged on arrival. The control support is so bent that the control board does not stay in place, the ash tray doesn't close, and there is a large dent in the front of the door. The handle is also bent and the paint is cracked. The unit is new and unused and Rona won't replace the unit or damaged parts. I tried to leave a review on their website and they deleted the review. I have also contacted customer support and they are not providing any updates on the return. Overall, I am very unhappy that I am holding the bag for a damaged product that I have never used. This is unreasonable and unfair.
Re: Rona Garden CentrennDear fellow Gardeners,nnI can’t in good conscience recommend the Spruce Grove Rona Garden Centre to others or continue to buy plants from them, because when shopping in their poorly-planned garden centre, without fail, the song “It’s The Hard Knock Life” from the musical “Annie” plays ominously in my head on repeat.nnUpon entering the Rona garden centre, you will notice a disturbing theme of improper plant storage that seems to show no regard for their LIVING products’ well being. It’s pretty cringeworthy to see badly dehydrated plants, sunburnt shade lovers, full-sun babies starving in dark shady areas, and wind-thrashed potted plants laying on their sides causing their delicate roots to dry out littering the ground along the fenced perimeter that provides little-to-no wind block. Their watering practices are downright damaging and cause harm and monetary degradation to the plants unfortunate enough to land in their custody. While I’m all for bringing home plant “rescues”, I have major scruples about buying from a garden centre who chronically allows such suffering to the living creatures they ought to be nurturing and protecting while in their care…it’s poor decorum, bad business sense, and not a pretty sight for the average phytophile to beholdnnPlants, like us, are alive. They eat, drink, breathe, grow, suffer health issues, struggle when injured, heal themselves, and thrive from receiving nurturing love. They are our fellow earthlings, beneficial to the environment, symbiotic within our ecosystems, and vital to our very survival. They are living creatures with basic heath and care needs. Plants are worthy of our diligence and respect.
Worse experience ever. Go here if you want to be ignored or treated badly. I couldn't believe the attitude I got especially from one employee with long brown hair and glasses!!! Absolutely rude!!!!
Ordered 6 sheets of 7/8 TG OSB for delivery. The order arrived and it was garbage - tongues and grooves smashed in and a giant chunk missing from one of the sheets. The driver was even surprised by the junk they gave him to deliver.
