MCC Thrift Shop

Shop at Value Village instead! …nnI was shocked at how much MCC’s pricing has increased. Women’s tops/bottoms are $5-15 each, all women’s shoes seem to be $15-19 despite many being unbranded and in poor condition. Their overpriced pieces also aren’t “in style” or known brands so can’t be justified in that sense. Decent pricing on houseware/decor + odds and ends but very poor selection.nnStaff are also rude. Parking lot gate was shut with 30 mins left until closing & older lady started telling customers to checkout with 20 minutes left until close. The same lady also nearly knocked a toddler down when she ran to the front to announce again “checkout now staff want to get home AT 5”… The shop closed at 5 and she was asking customers to leave at 4:40. She looked very irritated, really unacceptable.nnI understand this shop is ran by volunteers, however, this does not give them the right to close the shop before listed business hours, or to act rude/carelessly towards customers.nnShop at Salvation Army if you’re looking to support a non-profit but overall, Value Village is Kelowna’s best thrift store with optimal pricing & the most selection.

I liked shopping here, a bit harder to navigate than some other places I’ve been to imo but that’s more the layout of the building not anything the staff had control over. Didn’t have the best of luck finding a lot but enjoyed browsing. Had that cozy thrifty feel.

If you're like me , finding bargains is always a good idea.nThis thrift store is certainly one of my favorites. The volunteers are fantastic and friendly. They work very hard to keep the store well organized and very clean.nEverything is displayed to ensure your shopping experience is enjoyable.nTo try and list the items that you can find would be tooo long. So maybe the best option would be to try the MCC thrift store for yourself !nAs of this posting, they are in need of volunteers ‍. Volunteering is a really great experience, I have certainly enjoyed it the various times I've done it !nThe photos show a few items that I have bought the 'thrifty' way . I enjoy searching for new items to add to my various collection.nI have an unfortunate update. This may not be of interest to the majority of people but if you have a Joey service animal , you will do well to enter this store with caution if the manager is there. She sorely lacks in people skills ,to say the least. Displays hostility and inability to commuicate in a civil manner.nA word to store owners and businesses ; please ensure your employees are trained regarding approaching handlers with their service dog ‍.nYou do not know what medical ,emotional, or psychiatric issues they are coping with to require their service dog.nYou are likely to cause great harm when approaching them aggressively.nEspecially shouting and loud noises should be avoided.nIf indeed you have triggered something, please give them a chance to recover with the trained service dog ‍ as that will reduce injury.nAs folks may have surmised, I am speaking from experience, today being one of themnHappy hunting !

The most expensive ‘thrift’ store in town, with the most unfriendly staff too! Should offer payment plans or store credit cards to cover their insane prices!!!

This is a fantastic thrift store. Very clean. Lots to choose from. All the staff are amazing!!!!!
