First time trying out Manna Kitchen after they remodeled their business and menu. Saw from other reviews their new offerings looked very attractive so as a regular from their previous business, we are excited to try out their new stuff. At first glance most of the decors stayed pretty much the same as before. There aren’t a whole lot of space inside but enough to seat comfortably. There were plenty of waitresses willing to assist you so you never had to wait long for help. The food are very flavourful and feels above average then your regular HK style restaurants in the area. All in all it was a nice experience and we will come back to try other dishes.
Since their opening, this is my first time to revisit this restaurant. Overall experience is good. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The food variety turns to be more multinational. My orders on the egg rice and Hoi Nan Chicken is good. HOWEVER, I need to highlight about their water and drinks. No matter you have a cup of water/tea or a special bubble tea I ordered one later due to the taste, there is a weird taste like coming out from an old water pipe supply. I am not sure the reason; but this weird taste spoils my appetite and discourages me to return. Hope the owner can figure out reason and solve it. Maybe a water filter system helps.
Whenever you saw a great Food pictures and above average on all restaurants' reviews, you will definitely love to try. This restaurant is likely to be a Hong Kong styles restaurant. You'll deal to try its signature Coconut Hainanese Chicken and baked pork chop with fried rice. Above dishes are Nicely to come with a Good portions and flavors. However, I would skip to order curry beef brisket again, too sweet and less curry pasted from my tasty mouth standard . Not sure we should make a statement that we got a "Overall good service".
Yummy food, the chef cook well Curry Beef stew is good. Beef is soft enough and tastes well. Bake tomatoes ,pork will Fried rice is yummy.must have. The flied chicken is cooked well I think when u order the drink, u must mention less sugar and less ice. The location is good. It's better to go at not high time. Pretty full at holidays. Overall ,we like the restaurant and will come back for sure.
The place does get packed. We got there around 6pm, by 6:30pm, there were no seats. Service is quick, generous portion and good food quality. We ordered the following: 1. Club sandwich 2. Hainanese chicken rice 3. Curry beef stew rib brisket I
Came here on Friday evening and they are already busy and is a bit of a wait to get our table for 4 people. Restaurant setting is very tightly packed so you will have to wait outside. 10 minutes wait and we got our table. They have great selection on their menu, a bit of everything for everyone. My kids really like their french fries. We ordered the fried chicken and it is really good! The curry beef is a bit chewy but the curry sauce tastes really good. The bolognese meat sause spaghetti is good as well. Combo come with drink and you can pay a little extra and upgrade to a more expensive drink on their menu. Parking is a bit of a challenge here but is ok
Great HK style cafe. Used to be Chef Papa Tea & Noodle Bar. Kept most of the interior design and settings. Nice and easy to read menus. Good portions and flavours. Red wine braised short ribs could have a stronger red wine flavour though. The hot coffee/tea mixed drink was could also be more flavourful and creamier. Overall good service and experience.
New HK Diner Brunch type spot. With an Asian / Canadian fusion type menu. You can get the traditional HK breakfast in the mornings with a large selection of instant noodles, pineapple buns, sandwiches etc. after 11am they have a large menu with brunch options like chicken and waffles, Egg dishes, rice dishes, baked pastas and so much more. It’s fairly clean with lots of seating. It took a little time to get service but they were helpful when we had questions. Prices are fair as well as breakfast come with the meal you chose plus a coffee or tea. Drinks were made well and food we ordered was good. We had the all meat instant noodles with a Hot HK Milk Tea and the Korean styled Fried Chicken sandwich with a cold HK Milk Tea
Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm and it was packed! When I walked in, there was nobody to ask us how many guests we had. All the staff were running left and right but none addressed our presence. It was only after I stopped a lady in her tracks before she sent another lady who turned out to the boss lady to put us in line. In total, we waited about 20 mins for a table of 3. We ordered… - Curry Beef Stew Rib Brisket with rice: came with a decent amount of meat, wished there was a bit more broccoli and veggies. - Pork chop on rice with black pepper sauce: the black pepper sauce didn’t have a kick to it, it needs some spice. - Korean fried chicken sandwiches: had to wait way too long for this to arrive, at least 15 mins! The flavour was good, the bread was super crispy so much so that it actually hurt my mouth lol. Chicken was juicy and the sauce was quite good. Overall, food was nothing too special, wasn’t mind blowing for sure. If there’s no line, I would consider eating there again. Otherwise I’ll probably eat elsewhere.
First time coming here. We ordered a baked pork chop rice and short ribs with red wine sauce. The food was actually quite good. Prices are not bad $13 and $14 respectively. The beef short ribs' portion was a little small. Both items were cooked well and service was quick. Both items came with a drink, and Ovaltine is not extra. Overall pretty good. Would visit again
