Super fun, super friendly painting instructor and our group of 20 people had an amazing time. Canvas and supplies were included, we could choose our topic before-hand or go freestyle. Great activity for small or large groups of all artistic levels. Highly recommend.
Our office went to paint lounge for team bonding and we had a great time. The instructor was easy to follow and friendly. The painting was not too difficult so we were all able to follow along. A really cool experience and I would definitely go again!
Disappointing birthday party disaster. Booked a party using the online reservation system per their website. They responded with their available time and I replied to confirm we were good. No other correspondence from them until the day of the party when we arrived and the shop was closed. What a disaster and disappointment for our daughter. When I followed up for an explanation, the business responded that it was my fault for not knowing their reservation policy - despite direct correspondence via email in which they didn't specify anything was missing, what the next steps were or how/when deposit was to be paid. When I expressed my disappointment and intent to leave a customer review of my poor experience, they offered to make it up by inviting us back for a session. Unfortunately, I'm not interested in giving them my business after their initial response blaming me for their lack of confirmation and follow up. Lucky for us, we were able to move to Crafty Pots just up the street. This local business was WONDERFUL. They accommodated our group without hesitation and made sure everyone had a great time. Highly recommend Crafty Pots for parties!
We did a virtual painting for a bachelorette party. All supplies were delivered the day before. Ellen was so nice and patient as some of us were a little slower with our painting than others. She taught us some painting techniques that were easy to understand and do. Definitely would book again and definitely recommend her.
We have book onsite paint session at work. It was definitely a 5 out of 5 experience. Elen was quick to respond to any inquiry we had prior to the event. On the day of the event she came early to set up. During the paint session Elen provided clear instructions and took the time to explain every step and show us various painting techniques. Overall, this was an amazing experience and we would highly recommend "Paintlounge" studio.
Elen was a pleasure to work with for our corporate event. She explained the process for booking thoroughly with email correspondence. We did a mobile event at a local restaurant and she was easily able to work with the venue to prepare our set up. The painting was a ton of fun! Elen engaged our group and provided easy to follow steps as well as helpful tips. Our group felt like the activity was creative, relaxing and allowed us to have conversation throughout. I would highly recommend them for a group event or party!
If you've never tried paint night before, this is a great place to start! We got the groupon promo $25/person and ended up painting at their markham location for about 3hrs. They're very patient and will give you more time if you need it to finish your painting. Their space is also large enough that we had plenty of space without elbowing our neighbors. "Free drinks" is really just hot chocolate and tea/coffee, but I don't care much for that. I find Paintlounge more suitable for people who prefer more guidance from the teacher leading these sessions compared to Paint Nite which usually has bigger groups and give less individual attention. The only down side is their limited choices of paintings. Paint lounge markham, if you're reading this comment, please introduce more variety!! We'd love to come back and paint again but it's so hard to find a painting we like due to the limited options.
I've been here twice now, once for a workshop and once freestyle. Had a great time on both visits. Very fun, relaxed environment and the staff are nice and provide helpful tips along the way, even if you come for freestyle.
Overall a fair experience… Pros: the studio space – great natural lighting by the windows, complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate, art supplies included and available stamping knives, acrylic paint, brushes, sponges, and 1 canvas, extra time class was scheduled for 2.5 hr, we took an hour extra to finish the painting Cons: For the adult workshop, very limited instruction was provided during 3 hr class, instructor was with us for a total of 30 min, retreating to her own desk on phone/laptop for the rest of the time, when we asked the instructor for more direction, was given the response “if you need that much instruction you should stick to paint by numbers” To be honest, I chose a class type activity because I am not a skilled artist and would want some instruction I thought the workshop is a step by step supportive environment to learn to paint, was a bit taken back by the attitude… Bottom line: I had fun painting because I refuse to let someone to dampen my party, but I couldn’t help but to feel more support would make the experience more enjoyable…
I got a Groupon promo as a birthday gift. Was my first time painting and I loved it. Have only visited Markham location so far. Love the atmosphere and music- so diverse, welcoming, relaxing, friendly and fun. I booked ahead during down time, and never felt rushed. I wasn't in love with the choice of painting options, but the instructor Jenny was very accommodating and supportive. I went alone twice and felt completely comfortable. I have to add, Jenny was an amazing instructor. I love to draw but have always been shy to paint. Jenny made sure to allow my natural tastes and choices to dominate my art piece while still being there when I needed. At the same time she managed to be helpful to other independent painters who were there outside of the class. I plan on returning with friends, family and possibly a date. Going in tomorrow to finish my piece. Thanks for the pop art instruction Jenny!
