If you are in Michigan, you should definitely visit this place once, since everyone talks about it. Depending on what kind of trips you enjoy, you may or may not like the island. This is a family-oriented, cute area to see. Walk around the island, stop by touristy shops. Spend a little time at the park. Do a short hike, see the cemetery. See a quick view. For us it was a good trip to take once.

Beautiful island lots of things to do and very busy during summer/fall season. Never got use to the smell of horse feces but they do a good job of keeping the streets clean. Tons of great placed to eat and pretty nice trails.

Cool place to visit. No motorized vehicles on the island and it is accessed by ferry. Prices are expensive on the island. Fudge from Mackinac island is amazing and quite famous. I recommend renting bikes for the best views on the island but plan for at least an hour to bike the whole island. Very flat so biking isn't difficult.

It was my first time visiting mackinaw island with my family last summer and we had a blast! the clean motels by the beautiful beaches and the island was just an amazing experience and with so many activities for kids and adults, I would highly recommend this place for friends and families.

Get day long get away. Awesome natural features, vistas, and sights of the lake. Great historical area and amazing fort. Decent restaurants and tourist trap shops. Don't forget to bike ride around the island.
