If you're shopping for small gifts to help you remember your visit to Mackinac don't miss this stop. This is the least expensive place to purchase items. My family bought Christmas tree ornaments here as a momento. They were a couple dollars cheaper than anywhere else on the island. They are not open late so don't make this your last stop off the day.

The island is great! Love the crowds on the south side and the quiet on the North side. You have to spend the night there at least once to enjoy the early morning peace with the sounds of horses in the background bringing supplies.

No motorized vehicles are allowed. Good hotels and restaurants . Ride around the island on a bicycle and take in the history. Also some very good restaurants. I recommend the carriage ride.

Awesome, I went there as a child over 30 years ago. So last summer, my hubby and I took our 2 daughters to Mackinaw and we had such a good time. We walked around and spent so much money, way more money then what I had expected or anticipated. Never the less, its so beautiful and we are looking forward to going there again, this summer.

Helpful information on what to do on your journey in such a beautiful place. They were more than willing to help with tickets brochures and showing me directions on how to get where I was going! Loved it!
