Excellent food, great atmosphere, good service. What more could you ask for? Dishes looked great and tasted even better. Both burritos -- wrapped and in bowl form -- tasted great. The desserts are delicious as well I would recommend them to anyone. The atmosphere was great. Dim lights but not dark. A movie about alien luchadors was playing. It's a fun time all around. It's a place we would definitely go back to.
Came for happy hour. Ordered tacos, an entree, drinks, and desserts. IT WAS DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is amazing, sat comfortably for hours with a variety of Spanish music. The staff are friendly and attentive. I loved all the variety of flavours and menu options. I will be back regularly.
definitely pricey $18 for chips and salsa?? but I will say the food is good. I loved the carne asada and baja fish tacos the best breaded fish i’ve had and the tortilla soup was good too. What I loved the most was the attention to detail in presentation of the food and decoration. The vibrant colors offered a refreshing juxtaposition to the gloominess of Vancouver weather and the red tortillas and hot pink chairs made up for any lack of flavors in their food. If you are fine with expensive tacos then definitely come here!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and good spot to get Mexican food near Granvilles night district. Open late and has happy hour. Quesadilla was great, wouldn’t get the enchiladas again. Tequila!
Wanted to try this place out since it had really good reviews! But unfortunately the second I picked my tortilla up, it just crumbled into pieces. All 3 of them just ripped sooo easily into small crumbs odd since it wasn’t even soggy. Had to use a fork to basically scoop it up and eat very inconvenient & messy. Taste was okay, also it’d be better to let people know before browsing the menu that there are certain items not available.
Came here on a whim, settling an indecisive lunch. Lucha Libre is critically under rated, especially when you consider the trash places nearby that have higher ratings. The concept here is kinda goofy -- luchadores matching up against one another in the form of starters, entrees and tacos. Food 5/5 -- We started with the deep fried tortilla starter, which we ordered with the pepper filling. It was really good, and served in an inception taco style soft shell on the outside, fried shell on the inside. The pepper filling was super flavorful, and even the gf enjoyed it despite being a carnivore -- while we're on that, they have a lot of filling choices, including FOUR vegetarian options. For mains I got the Mexican baguette sandwich and babe got three tacos of different flavors. She loves her tacos, exclaiming that they were flavorful and moist. My sandwich was great. I got the chickpea filling, which complimented the avocado and pico de gallo that were already on the sandwich there's always a choice of filling for most of the dishes. Also, did I mention they have quite a large selection of Mexican beers? I tried Pacifico here for the first time, and really enjoyed it! Atmosphere 5/5 -- Pretty nice interior and concept. It's a goofy luchadore themed place, and the branding matches perfectly. The menus are all themed as one dish versus another, and they are all cleverly named dishes, such as the Rey Burrito Mysterio sorry if I'm butchering that. The decor and presentation of dishes also complement one another seamlessly -- it's Mexican through and through, with bright colors, and lighting. Lots of wood and, and *tasteful* plastic decor. Service 5/5 -- The server was a bit green, but very attentive and professional. He offered to explain the menu, made suggestions and kept a close eye on table maintenance — even when they were sold out of the gordita bread, he was quick to check in with replacement options. Cleanliness 5/5 — This one is an easy 5. The place was totally clean and spotless. Overall 5/5 — Wasn't expecting much, and expectations were totally blown out of the water. Great food, atmosphere, and service!
The atmosphere and music was great, and the food was delicious. The chips came with so much guac and salsa - probably the biggest portion of guac I've had anywhere! The tacos were delicious, particularly the brisket taco. The happy hour prices were great also.
This is a tiny corner of vibrance and joy. Just the interior itself is already a feast in the eyes! Our server was kind and patient enough to recommend things for us and explain the dishes in a detailed manner.
Got three tacos for only like $11? Apparently it was their happy hour which we stumbled upon unknowingly! I got two different beef and one fish taco. One of the beef ones seemed to have old bay seasoning which I thought was a bit of strange flavour for a taco but the other beef one was good. I think they only have two beef options on the menu but I didn’t know which one was which by the time it was plated. The fish taco was pretty lack lustre and not as substantial/crispy as I was hoping. Otherwise, the atmosphere, the service, and the pricing was great!
The vibes in the restaurant are great. I really enjoyed the chips, guacamole, & pico de gallo. I’m unsure if the chips are made in-house, but they were super crunchy and addicting! The tacos were also yummy! The carne asada was juicy & flavourful. I did wish that it came with two tortillas instead of one because my taco kept falling apart. Also get the pineapple margaritas! So refreshing. But be careful as the drink creeps up on you . Definitely recommend this spot to get together with a group of friends for a yummy bite and some drinks!
