Love the environment! So many free mangas to read when you’re there. They have mangas in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Foods are great as well. Love their omurice! The waffle wasn’t hot when it was served so a bit disappointed
Japanese cafe with very cute aesthetics and vibes. There's a large bookshelf filled with manga in English and Japanese. The food was fairly good as well but not as good as other Japanese restaurants with similar food.nnWe got the oyako omurice and honey butter chicken waffles. I give 4/5 stars for both. The sakura dessert and drink we got were very good however so I think their biggest strength is desserts and drinks.nnThey seem understaffed as lining up to order at the counter took much longer than it should have. It's basically all self-serve service but with made-to-order food I guess exactly like a typical cafe.
KI’ing up for some sweets…nnDecided to check this place out to see if it can satisfy my sweet tooth after a so so lunch.nnIt is a compact little place with half a dozen of tables and chairs, extra seatings along the window, counter and kitchen to the back. And with signs posted at every table saying it’s a notebook or laptop free zone… lmao!! Yeah no pretendous studying or working here, there’s Tinder for that.nnHere were the sweets I ordered;nn1. Melona. Nice little melon slush, not overly sweet so that’s refreshing for a hot day.n2. Sakura yogurt mousse. Tasty little drink for the Sakura lovers.n3. Sakura parfait. Nice little parfait, ingredients blended together nicely but I found the matcha ice cream could be a bit smoother, perhaps a finer matcha powder?n4. Macarons 3pc pack raspberry, pistachio, passion fruit. Pretty basic but decently okay.nnI can see that this place gets busy during the warmer weather seasons especially when it’s located close to the Royal Oak skytrain station and by all the new condos.nnService wise, it was okay and pretty basic. And of course a little improvement in this department wouldn’t hurt cause it might bring back a few extra repeats during the winter season.nnThe food was overall pretty decent. It had a little bit of everything from drinks to desserts and to some waffle combos. Almost reminded me a smaller version of La Foret up the streets?nn3.5 stars overall
Such a cute spot and absolutely delicious food and drinks!! My partner and I came here for a quick snack of strawberry jasmine tea, the galaxy drink, churro mochi donut, and tiramisu! For sure one of the best tiramisus I’ve ever eaten.
The curry omurice was basically inedible. It looks beautiful, and the egg is nice, but the rice is essentially a solid block that's mushy and you can tell it's at least a day old. It was also not heated thoroughly enough. I could only eat a bit and then gave up and tried to just eat the egg and the curry.nnThey seem to be super understaffed as well, and they're trying their best but it was really not good.
