Bubble Waffle Café

The service was horrible. Noodles and meat okay. Because I was taking my time ordering since no one was behind me and the girl at the register was clearly being trained, the guy (trainer) gave me such attitude and looks like "come on" as if there was someone behind me. I ordered the Lamb Noodle Soup and added the advertised $1 bubble waffle, which he charged $1.01. When my food was ready, he put my items in bags even though it was dine in. Before I could take my tray, he took my utensils and napkin saying it's outside, which was a lie. He was annoyed at me I guess because I spoke English and not Mandarin. (Haters gonna hate even in Canada) Had to ask for them back. How cheap! The soup was too salty with MSG. The vegetables were poor quality with black spots. The lemon soda was good the only good item. The bubble waffle was meh since it was unevenly cooked, mushy on one side and crunchy on the other. Overall the noodle soup was too pricey for what it was.

It's been a while since I've been here so maybe the chef has changed or management. I used to live coming here as the standards are usually pretty good amongst the restaurants. I ordered a laksa noodle with pork jowl and cuttlefish balls. That's pretty much my usual order. Today's meal was subpar tbh. The flavour of the laksa wasn't as rich and flavourful as before and the quality of food seemed to have diminished a little since the last time. Could just have been an off day for them? I do see that they're always training new people at the till when I eat at crystal mall so maybe it's just a big turnaround of employees at the moment? I will be back as I do enjoy the food and it's a good deal for all the food but it won't be my first choice.

I have been to many countries around Asia including mainland China. The food at this Bubble Waffle Cafe is authentic and very tasty. I would put it up against any restaurants around Vancouver. Try it out for your self and you will know what I mean.

Extremely slow and absolutely no sense of urgency in serving customers. 20 mins to get food at a food court stand is unacceptable.

I have tried other bubble waffle cafe in Vancouver, and I didn't expect this one to be better. But, the food is great and the service is friendly and keep making sure that your food will be ready soon. Just remember, that you have to wait 10-20mins to have the food ready, but it's worth the way. Will come here more often in the future. 😁
