Akemi Sushi

Really fresh delicious sushi and fast service. The only thing is that service was a bit rushed., food was cleared while we were still eating to make room. Otherwise excellent.

I keep coming back to my favourites: the teriyaki beef bento box and the rainbow roll made with real crab, roe, cucumber, salmon, tuna, snapper and surf clam. The steak sauce is delicious too, so get it on the side for your rice! Everything I've had here has been freshly made and delicious.

The sushi is good and tastes very fresh. Our palette isn't adventurous, we order the California rolls, dynamite roll, spicy shrimp roll, and prawn tempura. All very fresh and tasty. The prices were on the lower end of average, if that makes any sense. Not inexpensive. It wasn't busy, however we only recently became aware of the restaurant.

Ordered the salmon and tuna don and tonkatsu don. The salmon and tuna don was a little disappointing, I would not recommend it. But the tonkatsu was absolutely delicious! The place was cozy and nice, service was very good as well.

Had a really tasty chicken katsudon. My wife’s chicken yakiudon was only medium quality. Pretty good overall.

The prawn tempura was delicious.. Very hot and tasty. The spider roll was quite good, but it is very wide/difficult to bite. The terriyaki chicken bento box left more to be desired. The sauce was good but the chicken was less then great. I'd return and get the prawn tempura and try other sushi rolls. Take out was easy to order over the phone and very quick to pick up!

Akemi roll was delicious! Went with 3 others. Had appetizers. Everything was super tasty. Will definitely be back!Food: 5/5

Lovely place for a quiet meal. Their menu is quite extensive with a large variety of appetizers, noodles and lots of sushi! Reasonable prices compared to local competition, and super friendly service. Great location in the Goldstream Village, five minute walk from the fountain! Definitely worthwhile stopping in for lunch or dinner!
