This resort is so close to perfection. With a small bit of training of the staff, the feeling guests get could be “over the top” amazing. My perception is that Kalahari hires great people but does not train them on the finer points of customer interactions and positive attitudes. If management spent a few minutes each day coaching staff on how to “wow” their guests, this place could blow customer’s minds. Checking in at the front desk is the best example. There were nearly 20 employees at the front desk and they mostly had their heads down focused on their work instead of greeting guests in line with the best of attitudes. They are missing an opportunity to make families feel super special and make a great 1st impression. On a cleanliness note, they are right on the verge of becoming a worn out dump. This complex is going to need some serious money spent to make it top notch again. Everything is showing signs of aging and if the management doesn’t get their hands around it, this place is going to become a ghost town at the expense of competitors who have the fresh updated facilities. All that being said, the average profile of guests here are middle aged adults with middle aged children who LOVE the experience of an indoor entertainment Mecca. If Kalahari staff remembers that their guests “pay the bills” and if the staff treats each guest with amazing customer service, they will be a thriving, vibrant attraction for years to come.

Always enjoy spending time at the Kalahari resort! There are tons of things to do and the indoor water park is pretty expansive, so it's a must in the winter months when outside weather is unbearable. I highly recommend the wave rider attraction where you get to use a boogie board to ride a simulated wave! The resort also has a solid arcade, virtual reality games, rock climbing, mini go carts, a few rides, an escape room, an awesome workout center and a lot more. We stayed a few miles away in a resort managed chalet. Which is like renting your own large lake house. I recommend this option for large groups.

Kalahari resort is pretty great! I went for a weekend trip with friends, we spent a day in the water park. For the room, it was spacious and clean with comfy beds, not much else can really be asked for. The resort itself is pretty large, and although the majority of the attractions are marketed for kids, there's still a fair amount of fun to be had for adults, especially at the water park. Swim-up booze bar connects to a giant outdoor hot tub, great in the winter!!

Fun place to stay and bring you kids (if you must bring them... plenty of good things for adults too. Game from is fun, as is the BIG indoor water park (the outdoor activities one looks cool too, but we always go in the winter.) Conference facilities are nice, many conferences are held there... fun unless if you choose to actually go to your meetings (smile). Restaurants on site are decent, lower end to high end. You also have easy access to all others in the Dells. The only problems with the place are 1) parking is challenging, be ready to curse around and walk awhile and 2) it can get VERY loud in the hallways and in the water areas (like all other water resorts in the Dells)... be prepared! Watch out for speed traps set by the local police!!!

I came here only once so this review is just based on my observation. Kalahari Resort is a really big resort with a lot of room and places for things to do. The interiors were well themed towards African animals and reflections of African landscapes including the hotel rooms themselves. A lot of families were engaged with the resort even though it was still winter outside. The water park areas provided different settings for a variety of people. There was a laser tag, amusement themed building too. It took a bit of time going from one area of the resort to the next areas but going through each hall was a treat to look at the furnishings and discover the resort itself. I didn't have time to go through everything because I was there for a convention, but from what I saw it was pretty impressive. You'll get the occasional kids talking rather loudly or wandering around the resort like they're lost and messing with the things the resort has, but I guess it's to be expected. Overall, seems to be a really big and fun filled resort. Thanks for reading!
