Jimmy Simpson Recreation Centre

What a fine communal place to convene with locals and other visitors hailing from lands far away! I have frequented this centre for its skateboarding facilities during the winter, which has continually served as a necessary escape from the bitter cold of the unforgiving season of snow. I send my gratitudes to the fine staff of this centre, for their perpetual and relentless support of the skateboarding community in this district.

This was the first time I used the gym it was free and open at night so being able to play basketball after work was greatI just wish they would install a mop. The floor was very slippery and I felt it was dangerous and could lead to injury.

I've always visited the park during different times of the day. I also enjoyed the tennis courts at least once a week in the summer. Yesterday, was my first time in the recreation centre and I was impressed. It's got a gathering for every sport, the place is clean and tidy. There's a lot of action that doesn't show from the street level. I'll be back to explore my options in a higher level of detail at a later date. Lots of residents in the area frequent centre, from pingpong, basketball, skateboarding to swimming everyone can find their groove .

Used the pool at the cetnre. The facility is pretty old but kept very clean and organized very well. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. Although the centre locates a prime area on Queen East, there is a small parking pad for centre users and there are plenty street parking spots if the pad is full.

Offers a wide variety of free programs for kids. I recommend especially if you are trying to see what activities would interest your child.

I wish that there was a time to be able to swim with my son! There are definitely improvements that need to be made to programming! The programs need to be more inclusive and more options and bigger class sizes! A huge center that only allows for a few participants per program at a time!

Jimmie Simpson is an awesome place to go. Good times, clean facility, great staff. I would recommend Dawn's aquafit class to anyone. She's amazing

Great big grass areas to play sports in or relax with friends. It is a big dog area so expect to see many people with dogs. 2 Tennis courts, Basketball pad, soccer field and many more sports related activities here. In the North area there is a play stucture for smaller children with sand.

I go there for badminton on Mondays. It's little bit small court compared to some of the other centres, but when you are playing it doesn't matter right. Its well maintained place and everybody respect each other's space.

Love this place. Cute pool. Always something to do there. I went for the Jazz fest.
