First time trying the buns and loved the cream bun. The sweetness of the bun and the cream were perfect for my taste. I should have gotten more. The egg sandwich is simple but tasty but felt a little pricy for the quantity. Will try more bun flavors from here!
Tried the chestnut seasonal flavour and the chocolate bestseller bun. The server at the restaurant was super helpful and nice. He pointed out the best seller which 2 of them were sold out vanilla and Matcha. The buns were fresh but tasted ok since I am not a fan of much buns. That said, we tried the fortune telling game they have at the shop and again we were helped wit the numbers 33 picked :
This is a chain of Japanese dessert shops offering both sweet and savoury options as well as drinks. Rich, creamy, and soft bakery; delicious drink might be a little bit too sweet and pricey; cute and originally styled store.
I came here yesterday. I got to experience this location and store for the first time! It was unreal visiting, i got excited. I tried apple of my eye, milk tea and custard cream buns. They were cold and soft when i received them. I highly suggest to eat them right away as the cream will melt away from the buns easily. My initial reaction was that it's very heavily filled inside. Out of all three, i liked custard as it was to my liking. I feel like Apple of my eye and milk tea should have had a bit more flavour to hint the taste a bit more obvious. Otherwise, the place looked great! I will definitely come back for the strawberry fruit sandwich as i'm dying to try that out!! I got the seasonal flavor, Earl Grey, and it was really delicious! The cream wasn't too sweet and wasn't heavy at all. If I pass by there again, I'll definitely to try the Matcha flavor. I'm a big fan of tea flavors! lol Ordered: - Earl Grey cream bun
Hattendo Japanese confectionery shop. Hiroshima Japan since 1933 Associate: Keiko provided Excellent customer service! Great atmosphere, pleasant staff, Courteous, considerate, outgoing, clean & organized shop. I've enjoyed my conversations with the staff. I've ordered an potato croquette sandwich, Price: $6 + tax: $6.78 Sliced white bread with Potato croquette, cabbage, special sauce. Cut in half wrapped in wax paper. Soft, tender, delicious, yummy! All sandwiches & desserts are made fresh daily, Quality packaging! The next visit I'll definitely will try more items, the taste of Japan in square one shopping mall. Previous location was near Tim Hortons on the lower level. Now relocated to the food district. I highly recommend this location!
Not really sure how I lived my life before this place. Super soft cream buns, with not-too-sweet filling. Make sure you pick them up earlier in the day so your favourite flavour isn’t sold out. The egg salad was so good I went out and bought Kewpie mayo to make my own at home. Not the same but almost as good.
I have been to Hattendo many times in different locations. The quality of the bum is steady , no complaints there. Today I would like to share a not so pleasant customer experience. I bought three macha cream bum, right after I paid I realized oh I think am in your loyalty program I want to collect points, the cashier said oh sorry next time please tell us before you order.. If the management is reading this.. I feel you can do better.
Little Japanese shop that sells Japanese yummy pastries. Presentation is really nice. Small, cute little pastries. Price is a bit reasonable.
It is my first time trying and first time visit. I heard it is so popular and a must try. I bought three custard cream buns. the original custard, green tea and peach. I personally like the original custard. The green tea and Peach are good. it is a bit costly but with the presentation, the wrapping and the location of the store. it is worth to try.
