Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gatineau - Ottawa

Hotel looks like new, so room is perfect with all you need: lights, desk, plugs, lights. Bed is excellent. Special mention to heater... very very silent and efficient ... rare... unique... perfect. Breakfast is excellent: hot food with some options, everything very good. Some fresh pastries. Location is perfect if you want to go/arrive from East Montreal/ Mont Tremblant. Unfortunately I couldn't find a 24h coffee dispenser, so I used the coffee machine of the room. Many small restaurants/bistros 2 minutes by car for a good dinner. Free parking. I would use this hotel again while in this area...

Overall a decent experience for a 3 star hotel.nnBathtub was partially clogged and water pressure was low so the shower experience wasn't great.nnComplementary breakfast was okay.nnHotel was clean and clutter free but we saw two staff members accidentally walk into the room next door without knocking while guests were still there, definitely a training moment.

It's a basic holiday inn. It has all the usual services and facilities - gym with a couple of machines and weights, a small pool, free breakfast scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, cereal, coffee, juice. You will not easily find an espresso or an omelette but what they have is acceptable. The location was not overly convenient for me but not a lot of trouble either - not much around and what is there usually means getting back into your car. The rooms are clean, comfortable enough, with a view of the road or parking kot. No complaints, but no extra stars either.

Not the best experience. We requested late check out2pm when we checked in and it was granted and updated in the system.nHeaded to work and left a senior family who was accompanying me to receive a call later asking the senior member to leave the room. The staff member was told that a late check out was requested and granted. He left and 5 minutes later the staff member came opened and entered the room without any respect to privacy of the person inside and the senior member who has mobility difficulties was still there and ask them to leave again and informing the family member that this room is already rented!nnI was called while working by my family member who had to go down to the front desk while I drove back for 30 minutes to try to solve this. I spoke to the front desk later to find out it was already put in their system we had requested late check out but they didn't see it. An excuse that is not at all acceptable.nnI asked for the conference to continue my interrupted work and was told one time it's occupied, another time I was told I had to pay for it. It was clear to us at that point it is a discriminatory attitude.

Had a great stay over the Christmas holidays. The hotel was clean, modern and bright. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed the included breakfast, especially the delicious little cinnamon buns. We will stay here again next time we're in town.
