I need an alternative HK style steam rice store as my go to place is getting too pricy in Markham. My kid loves soy chicken steam rice and this is a good spot to try. I debated between the minced pork rice vs soy chicken with mushroom & rice or the pork rib with rice. The owner said all these are available for lunch and it takes about 5 minutes to prepare, an extra HK milk would cost $1.5. I decided on trying the minced pork rice and I was surprised to see a fry egg coming with it. First, the milk tea wasn’t bad but it’s nothing to write home about. Onto the entrée, it turns out ok, size was right for a lunch meal that costed $10 all in. Minced pork was tasty and soy sauce was balanced between saltiness & sweetness. We will come back next time when we need a quick lunch
I enjoy this indoor food court more than Pacific Mall. Southern Hong Kong style food. Hey Kee Bao Dim, tasty dim sum, prepared by two lovely ladies in 20 minutes.Parking spacePlenty of parkingParking optionsFree parking lot
Ordered the soft-bone pork on rice…the best!! The pork is SO soft and it is absolutely delicious. Really good portion for the price. Recommend this! Their milk tea is one of the best in Markham for sure!! Gotta give it a try!
Small storefront serving dim sum type foods for eat in at the food court or frozen for take out. Almost like a mom and pop type store though I think it's run by two sisters or cousins. Frozen Packaging of the product seems very commercialized.. stuff you'd find at the supermarket styrofoam bottom plates with a thick plastic sealed bag. Depending on what you order this place is 3* to 4*. The lava salted egg steam bun is so so. Found that the filling to custard like and not enough salted egg. The bun itself was good, though a little thick at the bottom. The shrimp dumplings and scallop dumpling were good. The sizes are huge compared to some real dim sum restaurants. Filling was good - good amount of shrimp/scallop and the flavor was nice. If your in the area, worth trying. A little more expensive, but the size makes up for it.
-portions are too little for the price -not hot enough for steaming type of foods -taste so so -staff is nice though -would give 2.5 stars instead of 2 if available -not returning/recommending because of takeout food quality
Dim sum on the go! Who doesn’t like that? I am sick of waiting for a table at the restaurants. If you want good dim sum at reasonable prices - go straight to this store. The portions are good value for money and the taste is comparable to some local eat in restaurants. Get the har gow and you won’t be disappointed!
Very very nice, fresh, simple, rice lunch and dim sum. Thank you
