Lu BBQ Restaurant

The spicy hot pot really reminded me the taste of home. Very authentic Chinese restaurant where you can find all typical Chinese popular dishes. Their home made spice makes their BBQ unique. It is definitely a place you want to go when you long for some home country food.

Not a good experience here. Went here on a Saturday during dinner time and the whole place was empty except our table. The food took 30 minutes to arrive and tasted horrible. The vegetable dish had pieces of peppers the size of golf balls with seeds still inside. The crispy fried pork dish had no crisp to it. The prices are also on the expensive side, which doesn’t make it any better. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the skewers were decent.

Great restaurant for skewers, late night snacks and some beer. They close late so it's a nice chill spot to be at. Spacious and bright. Service is good.

Lots of selections, skewers were grilled to perfection, not dried out, not too salty. Tried the steamed clams in garlic butter, very nice.

The skewers were on the spicier side compared to other places, but beyond that, the seasoning is less flavourful compared to other skewer places. Their bbq bread is literally a slice of toast placed on the grille without the seasoning so skip on that, its not worth the price. BBQ steamed bun is also not seasoned like other skewer places so do not order unless you want a plain steamed bun bbq'd on the grille. Their beef and lamb was not too bad.

Said grilled lamb kabob, but it was deep fried and meat was super hard to chew. Doesn’t taste fresh. Other dishes ordered not tasty too. The waiter with glasses was very friendly, but the food is bad and expensive. after the dinner there, all of us had stomach upset that night and the day after.

Not bad BBQ all in all. The spicy flavor roasted fish is tasty and the Yangzhou Fried rice with burnt ends are pretty good.

This place is trash, borderline terrible actually. Anyone thinking this place is good has definitely not tried anything else. Very disappointed with the quality and taste. Seriously the one and only worst bbq place around here. Didn’t even want to pay to be honest. Yes, it was that bad.

Went here with 5 friends. Everyone loved their food. Decent prices. I got their BBQ and Fried rice w/beef.

Our team had dinner at Lu BBQ Restaurant last night - all new dishes for me and delicious! Great evening for the Team!!
