I rented couple times from this location. I wasn't disappointed at all. I asked switched my vehicle from one car to another, agent was very patient and professional to do it so. I also one asked for upgrade and received really nice price. I never rented on "peak" season, however I believe this particular branch can hold high standards

Been renting from Hertz for years but this was my first time renting from Brookfield/downtown Toronto location. Staff I dealt with when picking up the van were courteous and professional. When returning the car I got stuck in traffic and was subsequently late for 90 min. I was charged close to $80.00 for late return. I had the van for a week and average daily rental came up to a bit under $40.00/day. So it was a bit crazy to get charged two days worth of rental for being an hour and half late. The agent who checked me out explained that everything was automatically generated by the computer but a manager can manually adjust the extra fee. Being on a weekend there was no manager on site (which I find quite odd) then was provided an email contact to a Branch Manager (Roger Lor). I immediately sent an email explaining the situation on December 30th then waited for 9 days (January 8th) to finally get a reply from him. Here is what he wrote I quote : "The extra hours on your file cost $46.90 + taxes. Unfortunately I cannot issue a reversal as the stated time of return is on the contract" So my question up to this day how did you come up with the extra $79.60 charge? I am still waiting for his reply. No call nothing ... what has happened to customer service?

Brutal experience. I think of the Seinfeld episode when he makes a reservation for a car and they don't have one. Jerry: I don't understand. Do you have my reservation? Rental Car Agent: We have your reservation, we just ran out of cars. Jerry: But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the reservation. Rental Car Agent: I think I know why we have reservations. Jerry: I don't think you do. You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them. That's what this place is like. No cars despite the reservation. Had to wait two hours for a car. Unacceptable when we needed to be somewhere in that time. Never again at this location.

My car stunk like sweat and food. The seats were stained. Embarrassing to pick up a coworker in this car.

The staff is excellent at this location. When you're renting make sure that you pick-up your car on time and book on-line. Since I am a GOLD member there are many times when I've been given a free upgrade or an upgrade at very minimal cost. I never have issues returning the car or picking up the car and the staff is super friendly and quite expedient at getting me on my way. I've been renting from this location for years even when they were in Union Station.
