The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The lobby is spacious and well-maintained, creating a great first impression. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the front desk staff being friendly and professional.nnMy room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The bed was soft and cozy, the linens were fresh, and the amenities provided were more than sufficient. The bathroom was also spotless, with a good selection of toiletries and a strong, hot shower. Housekeeping did a great job maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay.nnThe location is another highlight—situated in a convenient area, close to major attractions, restaurants, and shopping. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, it’s a great base for exploring the city.
Nice hotel. Very stunning atrium with balconies, plants, and a pool. The rooms are very nice, and all the staff I encountered was great too. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of yummy options ranging from pastries to eggs. Overall, I had a great experience at Hôtel Palace Royal, and I think you will, too! Highly recommended!
We planned a three night stay at the hotel for March break with our son. We rented a room with a balcony overlooking the pool, but we didn’t realize the entire place would smell of chlorine. The smell was also overwhelming inside the room. We decided to make the best of it, but after the second night, my allergies were bothering me and my wife’s face was completing swollen to the point that she could hardly open her eyes. She had a reaction to the chlorine as we were exposed to it everywhere we went. When booked, I assumed it would be a salt water pool seeing how the rooms surround the pool.nI went to cancel the third night at 9am and asked for a refund for that night and the receptionist said she would go talk to her manager. Upon arriving she said it wasn’t possible as there is a 24 hr cancellation policy. I spoke to the manager and explained the situation and showed a picture of my wife’s swollen face and he said no because their policy states that I should have canceled 24 hrs ahead. I explained that my wife woke up like this because of the chlorine fumes in our room and told him that our trip was ruined and we had to return home. He said no, our policy is 24 hrs notice. I found this man to be very unsympathetic and very unkind. This hotel is a total ripoff. He offered me a free night on our next visit, which is useless as our trip was ruined and we are both sick at home now. I will be contacting upper management, as I find this to be very unprofessional and unethical. If I could give a 0 rating, I would.
Location is good.nnOtherwise, the whole experience is pretty bad for the price and definitely not 4-star hotel.nnRooms suite: Sofa bednis horrible, uncomfortable. Mini-fridge is barely fresh, not cold. Heating system very noisy, starts every hour.nBaby-bed: We requested it for our newborn. Looks like it's from an 1842 orphanage, had to lay the matress on the floor.nPool: Good surveillance, WAY too much chlorine. Everyone in our party had red spots.nRestaurant: Subpar, food isn't fresh.nHotel & parking: We had to wait 25 min to check out because the elevators are too small and the staff is using it at the peak hour for check out.nNo stairs leading to the underground parking lot.nnAlso, they charge you 26$/day for parking in the hotel lobby, when you can park underground for 10$/day using indigo...?!!!!nnNot worth the stay AT ALL.nThank you for reading,
Nice hotel in a good location. The rooms were nice and clean, although generally, it could benefit from some updating, especially in the bathroom.nnThere is a nice pool, although it is a little bit cold with a pool attendant and pool towels are available. There was live music at night by the pool which was a nice added bonus.nnIt has 6 levels of underground parking but it is very tight so it can be tricky if you have a larger vehicle.nnCheck in was late 5 pm. The lobby being small makes it difficult to circulate and reach the elevators during check in / check out times.
