This is our second time here in this hotel. The people who work here are quite nice and efficient! We want to give a shout out to Adil the manager for making the experience extra nice, including ensuring all issues were dealt with timely! Thieck and Emanuell from maintenance were such hard workers. Thieck would come at any time and with a big smile! Front desk staff are generally good too, especially Rahima. Tatiana, Geraldine and Mohamed from housekeeping were very sweet and excellent.nThe renovations of the 3rd floor are definitely nice.nI like how the hotel is connected with many places through the underground tunnel at level C.nnOverall, I felt valued as a customer and Bonvoy member. I would have really appreciated the bonvoy club lounge so I wish Mariott would bring it back to their Delta chains.
My stay was great, the most positive aspect was the location. It made exploring Quebec city incredibly easy. We were within walking distance of all the major sights, restaurants, and public transportation, which saved us a lot of time and hassle. For anyone who prioritizes convenience and wants to be close to the action, this hotel is a solid choice.nnThe room itself, however, was just average. It was clean and well-maintained, and the size was adequate but not particularly spacious. While everything functioned as it should, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There are great amenities available such as a gym, paid parking and pool.nnAdil's reception service was exceptional, however house keeping missed some towels for a family of 4 and every night I needed to call for more towels.nnOverall, I would recommend this hotel to a traveler who values a prime location.
We stayed for 3 nights a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier with our stay! We were lucky enough to get a newly renovated room, and it was absolutely beautiful! Very modern and very clean! Our kids were checking in on our last night, so we asked the front desk if there was any way that their room could be near ours and they said they would make a note in their file. They ended up being just down the hall in a renovated room as well, which was absolutely beautiful! The staff were super accommodating which we greatly appreciated! The location is also perfect. Close walks to Old Quebec and the Plains of Abraham. And just 2 blocks down to a great street full of restaurants and bakeries. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend the Delta.
In general, the rooms are nice, roomy and the location is reasonably close to Old Quebec. However, as soon as you walk in the door you are hit by a toxic scent that smells similar to a toxic air freshener or cleaning product. The smell is everywhere on every floor. The staff are aware of it - I was not the first one to complain about it. It gave me headaches every day I was there. I will not go back.
Delta Hotels Quebec City CanadannConcern Dept.nnFirst things first - I am not seeking a refund or gift cards.nnI truly hope someone in authority takes the time to read this review.nnI recently stayed two nights at the Delta Hotels in Quebec, and as someone who has stayed at several Marriott and similar-tier hotels, I am extremely disappointed. This property simply does not deserve to carry the Marriott name.nnI strongly encourage Marriott to review the numerous similar complaints on Google my experience aligns with many of them.nFrom the moment I checked in, the experience was subpar. The room was run-down, with dim and poorly maintained lighting, and the mattress quality was worse than what I’ve experienced at budget motels. I would have been more comfortable spending less at a Motel 6 or Super 8.nnThe front desk staff were unhelpful and indifferent, offering no explanation about breakfast, Wi-Fi, or parking. It turned into a self-guided 45-minute check-in experience, which is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one under the Marriott brand. The staff’s rude and dismissive attitude was the opposite of what anyone should encounter in the hospitality industry. And she was ignorant enough to face time somebody and not answer my questions.nThe only positive part of my stay was the housekeeping team, who were courteous and attentive in their work. They were the one bright spot, and I made sure to thank and tip them for their efforts.nMarriott should be deeply concerned about the standards at this location. I urge corporate management to conduct an inspection and a mystery guest stay to experience firsthand what guests are dealing with.nnI will never return to this property, and this experience has made me question future Marriott bookings altogether. I paid over $500+ including parking for a stay that felt far below Marriott’s usual standard. This was a disappointing and frustrating experience from start to finish.
