Giant Tiger

I went to look for work scrubs and found them. $15 and $20 options. My only complaint is that there weren't a lot of scrub bottoms color options. But I got 1 gray and 1 navy blue for $15 each at the quality you'd expect for $15 thin and light. Although they do have other options for people that aren't picky and just want scrubs no matter the style, color or cut.

Home section is their biggest selling point in my opinion. They really have the lowest bargain prices in market in this category. I am so happy with my bed sheet set purchase, it’s $10-$30 lower than the price of their other competitors. But I think the prices of their clothes don’t differ that much from other supermarkets, so I didn’t think it was worth buying those here.nnIt’s nice to see some of the products that aren’t available in bigger grocery stores here. I love the fact that they sell items in retail instead of just packs. Giant Tiger is like merging the dollar store, grocery store, and convenience store in one place. It’s worth browsing through here first before going to bigger grocery stores, I believe — especially if you live alone or u’re in a small, budgeted household.nnStaffs are nice and there usually isn’t any queue for self-checkout. I find their shopping bags a bit pricey at $3 though, so I suggest to always bring your own.

We stopped by since we were next door. Usually we enjoy shopping at Canadian owned Giant Tiger. We saw a sign which said spend $50.00 get $10.00 gt voucher. We decided to take them up on it. We purchased some gifts and other things to get the $10.00. we purchased $52.65 before taxes. We were told we didn't get the $10.00 since the food stuff didn't count towards it. But nothing on the sign said only certain items work. Other than that the staff was friendly and helpful, store was clean and tidy well lite.

I have never left a negative review, but i had the worst checkout experience at 8 pm. The cashier Linda working at the cashout was rude and unprofessional, I work customer service myself and have never treated any human being this way in my life, this is not what us Canadians stand for, we are known for our kindness but this was not kindness it was disrespect. I shop from Giant Tiger a lot. When checking out I was not greeted, not even a hi, then my items were dropped by the cashier Linda scanning because the customer before me was still picking her items as she had a bunch, I was told to come at the register when the other customer was picking her items still. When checking out the cashier was basically throwing my items towards the front of the scanner, due to this my items were falling down. I understand mistakes like that can happen but when i picked it up I had to ask her if it was scanned twice and she rolled her eyes and said yes in such a rude way. If you are scanning someones items and throwing it at them and on floor, a simple apology for throwing my items towards a paying customer like me goes a long way. This interaction left me in shock and i said thank you before leaving but she didn't even say anything in return, it felt like I was saying thank you to the disrespect I faced.

Such a great store and staffed with lovely hardworking people. Given the fact that we no longer have any big department stores left, it's great to have GT which gives a little nostalgia of Zellers, Kmart, Sears etc from days past. Keep up the great work, I'll always support my local GT!
