Gaya Sushi

Nice little restaurant. The nigiri are smaller than some of the places I've been but were all fresh. It's the second or third time I've ordered from here. We are fortunate in Vancouver to have a lot of good sushi places. This is a good place but I haven't had anything yet that stands out for me.

Pure average sushi. The sushi here is kinda rough in appearance as seen in the photos, it is not a place that pays attention to the presentation of their food. The salmon maki was falling apart and the rice was definitely not distributed evenly and lacked the plump vinegary sushi rice features that makes sushi rice nice. Ingredients did taste fresh and it was okay and edible but nothing special.

Fresh food. This place is packed all the time. Servers are nice and friendly. Very quick service especially when only having 30 minute lunch break this place beats it all!

The food here is absolutely A list. Nicely composed. Got spicy wings and almost felt like it was melting in my mouth. Very easy to eat. Thank you, I have to go back for the sushi

Delivered! No issues. I’ve realized that sushi is an excellent choice when it comes to food delivery because you don’t worry about hot food getting cold. Just don’t order anything hot.

The food was mediocre at best, chicken was gross, soft shell crab was not cleaned properly and the taste was horrendous it made me literally vomit, the yakisoba noodles were really soggy and bland, the rolls are alright but definitely not up to par for the price, the gyoza tasted like it was under a heat lamp for the past few hours with soggy bits and really hard bits, really unfortunate as the food looked fantastic when it arrived Update: My gf and I both have started having severe stomach cramping and nausea, seems like we may have food poisoning yay! Don't eat here for the love of God

Average sushi! The flavour is off on the most basic rolls, their ginger is dry and their chicken karage meat is super fatty - the flavor was really good on it however. For a quick run its okay but not my first pick Update: Ordered a second time. Miso soup was good, spicy agedashi tofu had what looked and tasted like a little swirl of siracha on it - wouldn't recommend and i got the beef teriyaki. It was disgusting and drowned in waster....literally. absolutely had no flavor and was full of sprouts. They should add an assortment of veggies or maybe a few pieces of brocolli. Never going back here again and do not recommend others comings here.

Best sushi. Everything was served perfectly. Server Isak was amazing! Definitely will be back.

Gaya sushi fo sho. I got the yam roll and was disappointed to see sweet potato made an appearance.. and there was so much tempura involved.Food: 3/5

Gaya Sushi is definitely the best place I've ever been!!! This was my first visit for dinner. The place is very clean and their service is terrific. Food came way quicker than expected. every food I've ordered was fresh and delicious especially their Fire Cracker Roll. Furthermore, the price for the food was surprisingly cheap. Gaya sushi became one of my favorite place. Definitely I will visit again! Highly Recommended!!!!!!!!!!!
