I got take out from here over the weekend. The wait was longer than stated but still reasonable for a Saturday night. We tried it because Uber constantly has a BOGO deal for their saba aburi among many other BOGO items and also we were carving sashimi. The food is okay but definitely not the best sushi out there. I might not even order the aburi again if not for BOGO. But we were absolutely blown away by the portion and price. The bento box A has SO much food: 2pcs prawn tempura, 2pcs yam tempura, teriyaki chicken on rice, 8pcs California roll, salad and miso soup!! And it’s $10.95!! I really don’t know where to find these prices for a meal anymore…I feel like the price is comparable to a fast food meal, maybe even cheaper than recent grocery prices! Overall, everything else was decent and fresh too. So definitely recommend if you’re craving sushi but trying to save $$, just don’t expect anything fancy! TLDR: pretty average sushi place, made up for by the very generous portions and extremely affordable prices
I've never had a beef teriyaki roll where the beef was literally just boiled with no seasoning. With this color you'd think it's tuna, but it's beef. Salmon sashimi was hacked up and splitting along the fat lines which means it's not fresh. Had a faint odd smell too. Store might be under new ownership. Younger guy making sushi was rude. Without saying anything after I walked in, he stared at me then lifted his head twice as if prompting me to say something. He then asked me where I'm from, assuming that I'm a delivery person. Such a shame because this place was a gem before.
We ordered some takeout sushi from Sushi Q Tea Cafe. The Fantuan app has some very reasonably priced deals for this place, including their aburi sushi. Aburi is quite nicely done at Sushi Q. You can get an affordably priced tray with some wonderful varieties of Aburi sushi on it. We were pleased with the ratio of rice to toppings. Some places use too much rice but Sushi Q did not. The food was warm when we picked it up, and they were quite generous with the amount of fish they used to make the sushi. They are also one of our favourite places for ordering Avocado roll. Many places skimp on the avocado and put more rice into the roll; at Sushi Q Tea Cafe the  Avocado rolls are very generously stuffed with avocado. Service: Good Parking:  Free Location: On Canada Way @ Edmonds, in the same plaza as 7-Eleven
I just discovered this gem in this neighborhood. They have really good oshi/aburi sushi selection. If you order through UberEATS or fantuan you get discounts too!! Love this place. This has now became my go to sushi place. Parking is a bit hectic because 7/11 is next door. Honestly the store front looks pretty ghetto but the sushi is really good!
Had a softshell crab tempura, aburi spot prawn, pressed aburi sushi, and some assorted nigiri. The aburi was so good made me doubt my want for raw fish. While you can't say this place is most authentic nor has the best service, I still plan to come often
Ordered aburi sushi twice. The portion and price are both good.
For the amount of food, the price is good. We ordered box A, the tempura is actually well made, and the miso soup was very good It's the sushi rice that's a bit too sticky and mushy. We wished the sushi were made better.Food: 3/5
Dont pay first until your order is ready! I watched them confuse orders and move food from box to box and back again. Orders were left open on the table for a long time. The place was ugly and dirty. I was given no information about how long the wait would be. I was told to sit down and wait. After 10 minutes of waiting, I asked how much longer. I was told another 10 minutes.
I've ordered 3 times from Shshi Q Team so far, and every time the food was delicious. Bento box A and BC roll are both yummy !
Sushi Q Tea Cafe has been around for a while now but I’ve always been hesitant on visiting in the past because I never really knew what it was… is it a sushi place? Is it a bubble tea place? Well, I finally took the plunge and visited in late September. The interior is a bit homey for loss of a better word. There are some couches in the front area and then some tables scattered about inside as well as shelves stocked with reading material didn’t check to see what kind of books they had. The chef wasn’t there when I arrived so I had to wait a bit for my order but they did tell me about this before I ordered. I decided to try their Poke Bowl $11 for medium which contains salmon, tuna, imitation crab, cucumber, tobiko, seaweed, tamago, avocado, aonori, and mayo as well as ordering their Lychee Green Tea $4.25. The drink had just a hint of lychee flavour to it. I’ve read some posts where people say the service here is slow and I have to admit that it can take a while for the food to come out even when there’s not a big crowd in here. I did like how the imitation crab was fluffed up in the bowl and I thought that the food was pretty okay. That being said, it’s a fairly limited menu offering here.
